šŸ™ Next Wednesday, May 20th, the Electoral College will gather for their first meeting to begin the process of electing our next Bishop of Cork, Cloyne and Ross.
This initial gathering will focus on prayerful reflection and consideration as the college begins their discernment. The second meeting, on Friday, June 19th, is when the election will take place.

As this process begins, we invite our parish family and all in the diocese to join in prayer for wisdom, discernment, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Bishop Paul Colton served us faithfully for 27 years. Now we pray that God will raise up the right shepherd to lead us into this new chapter.

St.Fin Barre's Cathedral Co.Cork.

Situated on a site where worship has been offered since 606AD, Saint Fin Barreā€™s Cathedral is the finest example of French Neo-Gothic Cathedral architecture in Ireland and one of the most coherent in Western Europe. Designed by William Burges the Cathedral boasts over 1,500 stone and wood carvings, spectacular stained glass windows, marble features and floor mosaics crafted by Italian craftsmen. The historic ā€˜Pit Organā€™ is the only one of its kind in Ireland.

Christ Church is a small Gothic Revival Anglican church located in Ballyhooly, County Cork. It was completed in 1881and is part of the Fermoy Union of Parishes in the Diocese of Cork, Cloyne, and Ross.

Christ Church is located on the site of an earlier church which was completed in 1774 and designed by John Morrison.
The present building was founded in 1881, on the Convamore estate, which was the estate of the earls of Listowel. The cornerstone was laid on 21 April 1880 by Lady Listowel. It was consecrated on the 22nd of December 1881, by Bishop Robert Gregg. It was founded primarily at the expense of William Hare, 3rd Earl of Listowel.
