We are now entering the First Week of Lent. These photos show the Lenten Cross for 2021 in the church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour in Glenfin.

CHRISTMAS MASS ARRANGERMENTS FOR GLENFIN PARISH.
THREE VIGIL MASSES IN GLENFIN CHAPEL AT 5 P.M., 7 P.M. AND 9 P.M. ON CHRISTMAS EVE
THERE WILL ALSO BE A VIGIL MASS IN LEITIR BRIC AT 7 P.M. ON CHRISTMAS EVE.
ON CHRISTMAS DAY MASS IN LEITIR BRIC WILL BE AT 9.45 A.M. AND IN GLENFIN AT 11 A.M.
THESE EXTRA MASSES ARE BEING ARRANGED TO ALLOW ALL THOSE WHO WOULD WISH TO ATTEND MASS SAFELY AT CHRISTMAS TO DO SO WITH A SMALLER CONGREGATION PRESENT.
TO ADD FURTHER TO THE SAFETY OF EVERYBODY SPEAKERS HAVE NOW BEEN PLACED OUTSIDE GLENFIN CHAPEL SO THAT IF A PERSON IS NERVOUS ABOUT BEING WITH A CROWD THEY MAY SIT IN THE CAR "HEAR" THE MASS AND AFTERWARDS APPROACH THE CHAPEL DOORS, KEEPING IN LINE AT A SAFE DISTANCE, AND RECEIVE HOLY COMMUNION BEFORE RETURNING TO THE CAR.

The National Flag is lowered today in front of the church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfin, Co. Donegal, in honour of Detective Garda Colm Horkan, Charlestown, Co. Mayo who was murdered in Castlerea during the week and who is being laid to rest in his native parish today June 21st. May he find eternal peace and rest.

The meeting to prepare for the opening of the chapels will be at 7 p.m. on Monday 15th June. It will be in Glenfin chapel. Please come, if you are willing to help and share your ideas.

Meanwhile sadly we have been told to lock both Leitir Bric and Glenfin chapels until the Covid-19 crisis is over. All Catholic Churches in Raphoe are now closed. So sorry about that.
