The Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Our world often rewards power, smartness, and self-preservation, the Heart of Jesus mirrors another way: A Heart that loves unconditionally. A Heart that forgives. A Heart that remains open, even when wounded.

Today, the Sacred Heart invites us to ask:
What is shaping my heart?

May our hearts become more like Hisโ€”gentle, compassionate, and courageous in love.

Solemnity of Corpus Christi

We live in a world that is always moving, scrolling, rushing, reacting.

Yet at the heart of our faith is a mystery that asks us to stop and simply behold the splendor and love of God.

On this Corpus Christi Sunday, the Eucharist reminds us that God's greatest power is not found in noise or force, but in gentle, still, quiet and humble presence.

The question is not only, "Do I see Jesus in the Host?"

It is also, "Can others see Jesus in me?"

May we become what we receive.

A few photos from Bishop Shanahan Day's celebration at Holy Trinity Basilica, Onitsha in Nigeria.

It was wonderful to see so many people gathered in prayer as we remembered Bishop Joseph Shanahan and gave thanks for all he did for the Church in Onitsha. His faith, commitment, and missionary spirit continue to inspire us many years later.

Bishop Shanahan Day
Today, our Dublin community came together with our chaplain and friends to mark Bishop Shanahan Day.

It was a lovely opportunity to remember Bishop Joseph Shanahan, our founder, whose faith, vision and missionary spirit continue to inspire us. We are grateful for the gift of his life and for the legacy he has left to our congregation and to so many people.

As we shared prayer and friendship, we remembered all our Sisters and those who continue to carry forward his mission today.

Today we remember our founder, Bishop Joseph Shanahan, born in Borrisoleigh, Co. Tipperary.

Through this video, Sr. Bernadette shares a brief reflection on his life and legacy. We also remember the plaque erected at his birthplace, a reminder of the humble beginnings of a man whose missionary vision touched many lives.

May his example continue to inspire us all.

Trinity Sunday Celebration at the Cathedral Parish, Bo, Sierra Leone

Today, on Trinity Sunday, the Holy Childhood Association animated both the First and Second Masses at the Cathedral Parish, Bo. Through the readings, singing, serving at the altar, wardenship, and announcements, they helped make the liturgy prayerful. It was truly inspiring and uplifting.

Pictured are some of the Holy Childhood Association animators with Fr. Thaddeus Auve. (Fidei Donum priest from Gboko Diocese, Nigeria), our curate, who has been transferred to Holy Family Parish, Pujehun, as Parish Priest. As this was his last Mass with us, the children took the opportunity to share a memorable photograph with him and thank him for his service and guidance.

Also pictured is Sr. Secunda Ebang, a Holy Rosary Sister, who works closely with the Holy Childhood Association and continues to support the faith formation of our young people.

We thank Fr. Thaddeus. for his dedicated ministry in our parish and wish him God's abundant blessings in his new mission. May the Holy Trinity continue to guide and strengthen him.

๐Ÿ„ On the way back from the Laudato Siโ€™ Missionary Walk, the sisters stopped to chat with two very attentive visitors ๐Ÿ˜Š

The cows came right up to the fence and listened so closely that it almost felt like they understood every word.

One of those simple little moments that made everyone smile on the journey home ๐ŸŒฑ

๐ŸŒฑ Moments from our Laudato Siโ€™ Missionary Walk.

Sharing some memories from a day that would be described as filled with prayer, conversation, laughter, welcome, and collaboration towards the care for our common home.

๐ŸŽ One of the lovely moments from the day ๐Ÿ˜Š

As the sisters enjoyed some apple juice from Tipperary, the Bishop mentioned that the apples were grown not too far from the area where one of our sisters comes from.

A beautiful little moment of Irish hospitality during the Laudato Siโ€™ Missionary Walk ๐ŸŒฑ
