Some photos from the unique Con Houlihan Memorial Christmas Concert in CastleIsland last Saturday night -- we're still savouring in the breathtaking musical delights that were shared with us! ♫ ♪ ♫ The concert was a huge success and continues to be the talk of the town! Thanks to everyone who packed the place to capacity and for creating such a warm atmosphere in memory of Con. Thanks to all who helped in organising the event, especially Dan Casey; the staff & management of The River Island Hotel, local media photographer Joe Hanley, and sound engineer Seán Flood. A very special thank you to the artists who gave an outstanding performance: John Sheahan, Danny O'Mahony, Cyril O'Donoghue & Séamus Ó Flatharta. Watch out for some dazzling video footage to follow!

Con Houlihan was born on 6th December 1925. He grew up in Castleisland, Co. Kerry and became a writer and a film maker. he has written many books and participated in many others. In 1962 Con Houlihan was voted "Kerry Rugby Player of the Year". He died on 4th August 2012
