South Monaghan Parkinson's Support Group: In the past few months a number of individuals, relatively recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s, have got together to support each other by sharing their stories and helping each other out. This small group are finding their shared experience a comfort and support as they enter uncharted waters. The group would like to extend an invitation to anyone suffering with Parkinson’s disease, or family members to make contact to help others in a similar situation. Matt Talbot Mass: The Parish of Culmaine, together with the Matt Talbot Prayer Society will be hosting a Mass on Monday 7th October in St Joseph’s, Ederney at 7.30pm mass. The purpose of the mass is to pray to the Lord, the source of healing, for all who are affected directly or indirectly by addiction in our society. We will also pray for all who are working with or who are providing services for recovery from addiction and those helping family and friends of addicts to cope with the burden placed on them. People attending will be offered the opportunity to join the Matt Talbot Prayer Society. Our prayer will complement the efforts of many groups, facilities and counsellor already working to alleviate the suffering of addiction, one of the great scourges in our society. It will also be held in conjunction with other Matt Talbot masses which take place on the first Monday of each month. All are welcome.
Catholic Mothers Ireland Retreat Day: Join us for a day of Spiritual Restoration, Inspiring Talks, Holy Mass, Prayer and Confession on Lough Derg Island, Pettigo, Co. Catholic Chaplaincy at Queen's University Belfast - Sunday Masses: The Catholic Chaplaincy reopened earlier this month in its temporary premises at No. 42 University Road, offering facilities including a Chapel with daily Mass, study space and Cafe. The first Sunday Mass of the semester takes place this Sunday, 29 September at 8pm (with Choir) in the Canada Room of the University's historic Lanyon Building. Our Annual Dedication of Studies Mass takes place in the University's Great Hall next Sunday, 6 October at 8pm and will be presided over by recent alumnus, Fr Chris Gault OP. Students, staff, alumni and friends are most welcome to join us as we pray God's blessing on the academic community at Queen's for the year ahead.
