St. Pio of Pietrelcina Mass: A special Mass to Celebrate the Feast of St. Pio will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Edenderry on Wednesday 23rd September at 7.30pm. After Mass, St. Pio’s glow will be available for all who wish to venerate it. Everyone welcome.

North West Kildare Boglands Seminar: St Mochua’s Historical Society will host a one-day seminar in Coill Dubh Community Centre on September 26th from 9 am to 5pm. A number of impressive speakers on the day will discuss the past, present and future of our boglands including Mr. Eoghan Curry, Mr. Brendan Wyse, Mr. Michael Jacob, Mr. Ciaran Mullooly MEP, Dr Ciaran Reilly (Maynooth University), Dr Noeleen Smyth (Director of the Botanical Gardens). Teas, coffees and lunch will be served on the day. Tickets are available on Eventbrite or by contacting Margaret Brereton 087 2724366. This is an event not to be missed by all interested in honouring our local boglands and sharing memories of times past. Tickets are €15 including lunch.

The Little Way Cancer Support Centre Fundraising Concert: featuring the Queen of Musicals Rebecca Storm will be held on Sunday 4th October 2026 in Westgrove Hotel, Clane. Tickets are €50 including a prosecco reception. In 2025, the service provided 1,400 hours of free support to people affected by cancer. All proceeds from the concert go directly towards the funding of cancer support services in Kildare. Carbury Parish Field Day: This year’s Field Day will take place on Sunday 19th July in Carbury GAA from 2pm to 6pm. Any bric-a-brac, books, toys or any items in good condition are needed for the day, no electrical goods or clothes for the bric-a-brac please. Please drop items into the Sacristy in Derrinturn Church or to Biddy’s House in Trinity Crescent. Spot prizes are also needed for the Wheel of Fortune; there will also be a cake sale on the day. Books of tickets are available off Biddy and the Parish Office. We are all looking forward to a great day for the Parish.
