We had a very special service on Sunday, when a beautiful cross-stitch work of the Last Supper, created and donated by Robert Sparkes, was formally received with prayers of dedication and gratitude for God's gifts of creativity and friendship! Robert's wonderful art piece will be on permanent display in Christ Church, for all to see. And if you come to see it, take a look at the stained glass window above the communion table, which also depicts the Last Supper. Thank you, Robert, for your generosity and for your creativity!

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Blessing of the Schoolbags yesterday, and an especial thank-you to everyone who helped with the preparation, the welcome, the refreshments and the tidying. We were delighted to have 34 children, who brought their bags and pencil cases, and received one of these prayer cards, with a prayer written by our Rector🎒 ✏️ 🙏 some of you will recognise the pencil cross, made for the same service last year, by parishioner David Salmon!

Don't forget to join us for our brilliant tours of Christ Church, Bray, tomorrow. Tours are on between 10.45am-1.15pm, as part of Heritage Week! Our parish archivists, Sarah and Bruce, will whisk you back in time to the laying of the foundations, and then through the decades of architectural and artistic creation!

And as this Sunday is our Worship Together service, specifically aimed at younger members of our congregation, it's a good opportunity to let you know that we now have a changing table available in the PLC. We're delighted to be able to extend our welcome to parents and babies in a practical way - we know that the absence of a changing table causes real difficulties, so this is a welcome addition to the parish! And as part of our environmental stewardship, we were pleased to be given this via the Freecycle network, thus reducing our impact on God's planet. We added a new changing mat and voila!

We are thrilled to have Emma Lynch, Church Engagement and Education Manager at Tearfund Ireland joining us for our Worship Together service at 11am on Sunday! The parish supports Tearfund Ireland throughout the year, so it's a wonderful opportunity to hear from Emma about the projects that are underway. Please join us and spread the word! Everyone is welcome to come along, and, of course, to stay for tea and coffee afterwards.
