The Lighthouse is Ballincollig's very own "Messy Church" held monthly in the Carraig Centre.

We had a wonderful Family Fun day on Friday--in the morning at The Carraig Centre and in the afternoon at Church of Ireland - Blarney! Our theme was 'All things made new' and there were recycling crafts, outdoor activities, a story about 'The Tree of Life', and a quiet moment to add leaves to a prayer tree. Thank you to everyone who came along and especially to our volunteers!

Coming up this Friday, 23 August! The theme is 'All Things Made New!' There will be crafts made from crisp packets, nature activities outdoors (weather permitting!), a Bible story and snacks. We'll be at The Carraig Centre in Ballincollig from 10.30-12.30 and at Church of Ireland - Blarney from 2.30-4.30 PM! Suitable for pre-school and primary-school aged children accompanied by a parent or carer. All welcome! Free of charge and no-prebooking required!

These summer family fun events are suitable for pre-school and primary-school aged children, accompanied by parents or carers, with both indoor and outdoor nature activities (weather permitting!). Free of charge and all welcome--no pre-booking needed!

A wonderful afternoon celebrating 15 years of The Lighthouse, and reflecting on the parable of the Big Banquet! There were lots of activities that helped us get ready for the party--creating invitations and party hats, icing cakes, making fruit skewers, folding fancy serviettes, and playing games!

It was a great afternoon yesterday in The Carraig Centre with an afternoon of creative prayer organised by the Lighthouse team, closing the season of prayer! There were activities organised around each of the phrases of the Lord's Prayer: praying for ourselves and all who are part of the family of God, asking for forgiveness and help to forgive, praying for guidance to stay on the right paths, for the needs of the world and for God's glory to be known. It all concluded with a BBQ organised by Revd Robert and team!

The Lighthouse team had a full day yesterday, Good Friday, offering our family gathering 'Wondering Through Holy Week' in two location: at The Carraig Centre in the morning and Church of Ireland - Blarney in the afternoon! There were hands-on activities exploring the different aspects of the week from Palm Sunday, looking ahead with hopeful expectation to Easter morning. Huge thanks to the volunteers who worked so hard to organise all the activities and to all the families who came along to be part of the day in both locations!

In the morning we'll be in the The Carraig Centre and in the afternoon in Church of Ireland - Blarney, with the same activities (suitable for pre-school and school aged children) on offer in both locations. Free of charge and no pre-booking needed!

Looking for something to do this St Patrick's weekend? The Lighthouse team will be out at the Church of Ireland - Blarney on Saturday, 1.00 - 3.30 PM with crafts and activities suitable for pre-school and school-age children! All welcome to drop in, no need to pre-book!
