An Invitation to Eucharistic Adoration:

In an apparition to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, Jesus spoke these beautiful words: โ€œI have a burning thirst to be honoured by men in the Blessed Sacrament.โ€ Go to adoration, even if itโ€™s just for 5 minutes. Jesus desires to be with you, to have you gaze upon Him, as He so lovingly gazes upon you.
Taking time to be with Jesus in the Eucharist is a recipe for finding the peace your soul needs.
Adoration is one of the most beautiful ways to spend time in prayer. It refers to time spent with Jesus in the Eucharist. Usually the Blessed Sacrament is exposed, with the white Host visible within a golden or silver display case called a monstrance. Even when the Blessed Sacrament is not exposed, you can pray before Jesusโ€™ presence in the tabernacle.
Often, the faithful spend an hour in Adoration because Christ in Gethsemane asked, โ€œSo, could you not watch with me one hour?โ€

For beginners at Adoration, these tips might be helpful:
First, remember that the Lord is spending this hour with you. Let Him look at you. Begin with adoration.
How do we adore? On our knees, in our hearts rejoicing, is one way, but the interior method should mirror
how we love others.
As a groom staring at his bride walking up the aisle, as a mother gazing at her newborn, as a son or
daughter returning home after a long journey, these are the ways we should approach our Lord. Anyone
who ever fell in love knows the feeling of staring into the eyes of the other, and wanting to just drink them
up. So also, we should seek that level of intimacy, silence of the self, and joy when we come to adoration.
If we donโ€™t feel it, know that the Lord does. He is far more delighted to be in our presence than we could ever be at being in His.

Why should we go to adoration? To learn how to sit at the feet of Jesus, to chose the better portion, and to
help attune our ears to Godโ€™s words and our eyes to Godโ€™s gaze so we can do what we pray in the Our
Father: โ€œthy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.โ€ Sitting before the Eucharist is being granted an
audience with the King of Heaven. Why would we keep away?

Donโ€™t know what to do? Donโ€™t know what to say? All relationships start with being willing to participate, to
spend time. Go and if itโ€™s your first time sitting, let yourself sit and contemplate, this is Christ. This is what love looks like.

โ€œCould you not spend an hour?โ€ Christ asks, and we, like the apostles, must somehow rouse ourselves
and respond.
Donโ€™t feel like you have time to spend an hour? Yes, weโ€™re all very busy, but offer God 12 minutes each
day before you begin your commute, or the same time at the end of your work, and in a week, youโ€™ll have
spent 60 minutes outside of Mass, contemplating Our Lord. Youโ€™ll also find that coming and staying
becomes easier, as you enter deeper and deeper into the mystery of being in Christโ€™s presence.

Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and Refuge of Sinners, we entrust and consecrate ourselves, our family, our home and our Dioceses to Jesus through your Immaculate Heart.

As your children, we promise to follow your example in our lives by doing at all times the will of God.

O Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, we renew today the promises of our Baptism and Confirmation.

Intercede for us with the Holy Spirit that we may be always faithful to your Divine Son, to his Mystical Body, the Catholic Church, and to the teachings of his Vicar on earth, our Holy Father the Pope.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, our Queen and our Mother, we promise to uphold the sanctity of marriage and the welfare of the family.

Watch over our minds and hearts and preserve our youth from dangers to the faith and the many temptations that threaten them in the world today.

We ask you, Mary our Advocate to intercede with your divine Son. Obtain for our country the grace to uphold the uniqueness of every human life, from the first moment of conception to natural death.

O Blessed Mother, Our Life, our Sweetness and Our Hope, we wish that this Consecration be for the great glory of God and
that it leads us safely to Jesus your Son.

Saint Kevin of Glendalough was born in County Wicklow, Ireland, around 498 AD. From a young age, he desired a life of prayer and holiness. After spending years as a hermit, he founded the famous monastic settlement of Glendalough, which became one of Irelandโ€™s greatest centres of learning, prayer, and pilgrimage. Known for his love of nature, humility, and deep union with God, St. Kevin inspired many to follow Christ. He died around 618 AD and remains one of Irelandโ€™s most beloved saints.

St. Kevin, pray that we may grow in holiness, cherish Godโ€™s creation, and seek Him with faithful and generous hearts. Amen.

Prayer for Exams:
Dear Lord, as I take this exam, I thank you that my value Is not based on my performance, but on your great love for me. Come into my heart so that we can walk through this time together. Help me, not only with this test, but the many tests of life that are sure to come my way.
As I take this exam, bring back to my mind everything I studied and be gracious with what I have overlooked. Help me to remain focused and calm, confident in the facts and in my ability, and firm in the knowledge that no matter what happens today you are there with me.
Amen.
