We are delighted that our annual Padre Pio Novena is back this year! Starting this Monday Feb 21st and running for nine nights with Mass each evening at 8pm (Sat 7.30pm and Sun 6.30pm), there is a different speaker each evening reflecting on their favourite parable story. Click on the image for a full list of all the speakers and times. Rosary each evening before Mass. Why not come and do the novena for some special intention close to your heart. St Muredach's Cathedral holds a special place in Darkness into Light Ballina; the place where you gathered in previous years before the event and spent a few moments to reflect. This Friday May 7th at 9pm, we invite you to join us for a short Liturgy of Remembrance for those who have died by su***de, and to pray for their families and friends who grieve their passing. Join us for ‘Carols by Candlelight’ on Sunday 20 December at 5pm from St Muredach's Cathedral.
This is an online-only event behind closed doors and streamed live on ballinaparish.org.
St Muredach's Schola Cantorum (female chamber choir), aim to lift your spirits and bring the joy of Christmas to you with classic carols such as 'O Holy Night, Silent night, and Once in Royal David's City' .
After the Carol service from 6pm -8pm, you will have the opportunity to bring gifts to the crib. This year, St Vincent de Paul have requested gifts of non-perishable food items such as cereals, canned food, pasta, tea, etc. No need to wrap them, just place them in a bag.
