🍛 Here are some photos of church family dinner yesterday ❤️
After being fed with God's word from Exodus 20, we enjoyed a feast thanks to all the volunteers in our church family!

📖 Our sermon series at the moment is 'The Ten Commandments'. We are looking at one commandment each week for ten weeks. Yesterday we looked at commandment 3: “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name." (Exodus 20: 7)

🏡 Our bible study home groups are also reading the Ten Commandments (2 every week for 5 weeks!) We're on week 3 of 5, you're always welcome to join in. Just send a message for details.

Thankful for an important day in the life of our church! 🥳

Today Emmanuel, Patrick and Tommy were ordained to the role of 'elder'. They will hold a leadership role in the church.

Read what the Bible tells us about the role of elder below. 📖

1 Titus 1:6-9
An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

1 Peter 5:1-4
Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers who made and served 12 LITRES of tea and coffee ☕️, dozens of bakes 🍪, our runners who gave out over 3000 eggs 🍬 and team who gave away 60 Gospels of John 📖

✝️ We love Easter and it's because we celebrate the death and RESURRECTION of Jesus! Because of this history-changing event, we have a way to be reconciled with God! ❤️ John 1:12 "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."

Have you ever read Saint Patrick's Confession? It's his autobiography, full of scripture and proclaiming Jesus as Lord. Read an excerpt here:

"There is no other God, nor will there ever be, nor was there ever, except God the Father. He is the one who was not begotten, the one without a beginning, the one from whom all beginnings come, the one who holds all things in being – this is our teaching. And his son, Jesus Christ, whom we testify has always been, since before the beginning of this age, with the father in a spiritual way. He was begotten in an indescribable way before every beginning. Everything we can see, and everything beyond our sight, was made through him. He became a human being; and, having overcome death, was welcomed to the heavens to the Father. The Father gave him all power over every being, both heavenly and earthly and beneath the earth. Let every tongue confess that Jesus Christ, in whom we believe and whom we await to come back to us in the near future, is Lord and God."

Pray for the churches in Poland and Kenya 🙌🙏🇵🇱🇰🇪

🙏 Let's Pray 🙏
🇵🇱 The Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Poland (EPCP)
Give thanks for the work and witness of the EPCP. Pray especially for the Christ the Saviour congregation located in Krakow and its pastor, Rev Saško Nezamutdinov. Pray for the various ministries of the congregation, especially the discipleship of children and young people, and the provision of quality Christian literature for those in the wider community who are hungry for God’s Word.
🇰🇪 Stephen and Angelina Cowan, global mission workers, Kenya
Give thanks for the December youth and children’s camps, not least for the leadership and wide-ranging contribution by the team from Park Road Fellowship, Nairobi. Give thanks for how God’s Spirit was in work in the discipleship of the children and young people, and pray that the gospel seed sown would take deep roots and come to fruition as the year ahead.
