Irish Cancer Society Volunteer Drivers
The Irish Cancer Society is expanding the volunteer driver service in the Carlow and Laois area, and we are seeking compassionate volunteer drivers to join our pool of drivers. We are specifically looking for drivers who can take patients to Naas Hospital, as well as St James’ Hospital and the Mater Hospital in Dublin. Gifting your time means that cancer patients will have comfortable (one on one) transport to attend appointments for their lifesaving treatment. If you can spare 2 days per month, have a valid driving license, and a safe, reliable vehicle, you are the perfect candidate to make a significant difference. Your generosity not only eases the journey for many during a challenging time but also offers comfort and support when it's needed most.
For more information and to become a volunteer driver, please contact Monica or Emily at [email protected].

Parishes Alive - Becoming Synodal: Bishop Denis and the Diocesan Pastoral Council invites you to the third annual Parishes Alive Day on Saturday, June 20th from 10am to 4pm in Carlow College, St. Patrick’s. The day will be facilitated by Dr Oonagh O’Brien, CEO of Mount St Anne’s Retreat & Conference Centre and Janet Forbes the Youth Director in the Archdiocese of Armagh and a Member of the National Synodal Team. The day will explore how we can become more synodal in practice in our parishes and pastoral areas, taking baptism as a starting point and leading to practical explorations of key aspects of being synodal, including local decision making. Attendees will be given resources to take away for future use in their Parishes. This promises to be a very engaging and interesting day and will appeal to anyone who is interested in how Parishes and Pastoral Areas develop into the future. Much of it will be interactive and workshop based. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. There is no charge to attend or for the hospitality. Because these are “roundtable” sessions, numbers are limited so early booking is advised. To book or for further information email Pat Roche, Diocesan Director of Parish Development, on [email protected] or phone (office hours) 083-8305681.

Best of Luck to all our Exam Candidates who will be sitting their
Junior and Leaving Certificate exams.
STUDENT PRAYER FOR EXAMS
Lord Jesus, for me and all my fellow
students, may we have Your help today and all the days of these exams.
May I be assured of Your friendship and the friendship of all who wish me well.
Just give me a clear mind, a reassurance that the work I've done will be enough and that I can believe in myself and my ability. If, for a
moment, that belief should fail, may I depend on those I know who are praying for me.
