Thank you to everyone who helped make our service of Evensong in the company of the Choir of St Bartholomew’s Church, Clyde Rd, Dublin, such a wonderful and pleasant occasion. A goodly crowd, a little short of 100, gathered to worship and enjoy the transcendent strains of wonderful Anglican chant, sung beautifully, and accompanied by masterful musicianship from Dr Andrew Johnstone. The service was followed by a reception for choir and congregation and the funds raised will be donated to the church restoration fund.

Thank you, to one and all, who helped make this event such an uplifting experience.

The accompanying photo here shows the choir and the Revd Jack Kinkead, rector of Wicklow & Killiskey, in the grounds of Nun’s Cross Church after the service.

Once again, we are delighted to welcome the choir of St Bartholomew’s , Clyde Road, Dublin and their Director of Music Mr Ben Barnes, to Nun’s Cross next Sunday 11th May at 5p.m. to lead a service of choral evensong. Variously described as “A serenade of the setting sun”,
“A symphony of the soul”, and
“A whispered promise”, the echoing strains are the perfect way to end a summer’s day.

So, please come and join us - all are welcome - and stay for some refreshments afterwards.
