ARE YOU A FULL-TIME HOMEMAKER TOO?
How many years have you been a homemaker?
For me, it will soon be 21 years—since our twins were born.
There were times when I felt frustrated, especially when I saw my batchmates moving forward in life and gaining different titles and accomplishments.
Sometimes, I felt sorry for myself.
Especially when I was left alone, with no one to talk to, busy with housework... doing the same things over and over again, day after day.
Housework that never seems to end.
Sometimes, it felt like my world was so small while other people were traveling here and there, experiencing so many things.
Little by little, I started to equate my worth with the ordinariness of what I was doing.
But I thank God for His grace.
He helped me overcome those feelings and, more importantly, the wrong way of thinking behind them.
God helped me understand that my worth and identity are received, not earned.
When we become Christians, we receive an identity that does not change based on our appearance, achievements or failures, earthly wealth or lack of it, successes or disappointments.
This is something I have learned, internalized, embraced, and tried to live by God's grace.
And I am deeply grateful to God because He continues to teach me His truth—truth that has set me free from earthly attachments and false beliefs.
I have learned that whatever happens in life, my worth is based on who I am in God:
A beloved child of God.
Blessed and chosen.
Called to share in His divine life.
And one more thing I am especially grateful for is the gift of writing.
Through my two books, I have put into words some of what I have learned through my journey of faith and life.

Perhaps you are also learning that your worth is not measured by what you do—but by who you are in God. ❤️
