How well do you know God? Ephesians one contains a prayer from the apostle Paul that you might get to know God better and that you might also know what blessings are yours as a believer in Christ. You are God’s special treasure. You have the power that he used to raise Jesus from the dead. Use that power to help build the kingdom of God.

It’s right for us to praise God for the good things in our lives. It’s better to praise him for the spiritual blessings in the heavenly places. These are blessings that are not material, but spiritual eternal wonderful. God has chosen us, redeemed us, and unified us. Pray that the complete fulfillment of these spiritual blessings soon come to fruition.

In the 13th chapter of the gospel of John, Jesus washed the disciples feet. He said an example for them to follow. The example is one of being a humble servant after you have been completely washed of your sin by putting your faith in Jesus. Living for Jesus is living as a humble servant. Follow the example of Jesus.

The parable of the rich man and the beggar has much to teach us. The basic idea is that our financial position in this world has nothing to do with how we spend life in the next world. Everyone must make a decision. That decision is to either accept the gospel of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and go to heaven or reject it , and spend eternity separated from God and whatever hell is really like. The parable says it’s gonna be agony. Make your choice today.

Christians have the greatest truth in the world. We possess the truth on how to have eternal life with God. How we share the truth is important. Learn how not to do it from Joseph when he was a young man. Follow Ephesians 415 and you will do it well. Share the gospel truth in love.
