[11]Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Njoni, enyi wana, mnisikilize, Nami nitawafundisha kumcha BWANA.
[12]What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
Ni nani mtu yule apendezwaye na uzima, Apendaye siku nyingi apate kuona mema?
[13]Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Uuzuie ulimi wako na mabaya, Na midomo yako na kusema hila.
[14]Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Uache mabaya ukatende mema, Utafute amani ukaifuatie.
[15]The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
Macho ya BWANA huwaelekea wenye haki, Na masikio yake hukielekea kilio chao.
[16]The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
Uso wa BWANA ni juu ya watenda mabaya, Aliondoe kumbukumbu lao duniani.

[12]Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Heri taifa ambalo BWANA ni Mungu wao, Watu aliowachagua kuwa urithi wake.
[13]The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
Toka mbinguni BWANA huchungulia, Huwatazama wanadamu wote pia.
[14]From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
Toka mahali pake aketipo Huwaangalia wote wakaao duniani.
[15]He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
yeye aiumbaye mioyo yao wote Huzifikiri kazi zao zote.
[16]There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
Hapana mfalme aokokaye kwa wingi wa uwezo, Wala shujaa haokoki kwa wingi wa nguvu.
[17]An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
Farasi hafai kitu kwa wokovu, Wala hamponyi mtu kwa wingi wa nguvu zake.
[18]Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
Tazama, jicho la BWANA li kwao wamchao, Wazingojeao fadhili zake.
[19]To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
Yeye huwaponya nafsi zao na mauti, Na kuwahuisha wakati wa njaa.
[20]Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
Nafsi zetu zinamngoja BWANA; Yeye ndiye msaada wetu na ngao yetu.
[21]For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
Maana mioyo yetu itamfurahia, Kwa kuwa tumelitumainia jina lake takatifu.
[22]Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
Ee BWANA, fadhili zako zikae nasi, K**a vile tulivyokungoja Wewe.
