STATEMENT OF WAHDAH ISLAMIYAH CONCERNING THE BLASPHEMY AGAINST PROPHET MUHAMMAD SHALLALLAHU 'ALAIHI WASALLAM

اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ وَالصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَى رَسُوْلِ الله وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهُمْ بِإِحْساَنٍ إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ، وَبَعْدُ
The love for our Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam is part of Islamic believes that is inherent in every Muslim. The recent incident, especially in France, where the blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam becomes a common phenomenon has really triggered our anger as Muslims who love our Noble Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu' Alaihi Wasallam. Taking into account of this situation, the Wahdah Islamiyah as an organization for lovers of the Prophet Sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam considers it obligatory to deliver the following statements:
1.Strongly condemn every form of insult and abuse against the Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam, anytime and anywhere and by anyone, including what happened in France recently which was also supported by the French President, Emmanuel Macron;
2.Strongly request that the French Government and all parties involved to immediately stop this insult, where this heinous provocation has the potential to trigger acts of violence;
3.Request the Indonesian government to call the Indonesian ambassador for France and close the France embassy in Jakarta;
4.Request all Wahdah Islamiyah cadres and sympathizers as well as all Muslims to boycott all French products and all those who support them in insulting the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam;
5.Request all international Muslims to make this event a momentum to further enhance the unity and brotherhood of Muslims worldwide, because the power to defend the honor of this religion with Allah's permission lies in the unity and integrity of the Muslims;
6.Request all Muslims to intensify the study and internalization of Sirah Nabawiah which will be the primary cause of actualization of Islamic religious behavior which is getting more beautiful in appearance;
7.Request all parties in Indonesia to maintain a conducive atmosphere for inter-religious relations and avoid provocative efforts, especially in the context of Muslims and their beloved Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam, where Muslims are ready to risk their lives for the honor of Muhammad Sallallahu' Alaihi Wasallam.
Thus, we deliver these statements and may Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala always protect our country and the life of the Muslims and protect our love for Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and His Noble Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam.
