Last Wednesday (Ash Wednesday) 14/02/2018 we have started to the Lent season.

Question: "What is the meaning of Lent?"

Answer: Lent is a period of fasting, moderation, and self-denial traditionally observed by Catholics and some Protestant denominations. It begins with Ash Wednesday and ends with Easter Sunday. The length of the Lenten fast was established in the 4th century as 46 days (40 days, not counting Sundays). During Lent, participants eat sparingly or give up a particular food or habit. It’s not uncommon for people to give up smoking during Lent, or to swear off watching television or eating candy or telling lies. It’s six weeks of self-discipline.

We remember that it was during this period when our Lord Jesus Christ drove into the wilderness to be tempted and He was fasting and praying. We are also, therefore, asked to do similar in giving up and being selfless for the sake of our God.

God loves us so much that even when we fail to find Him, He comes forth to find us.
Our readings for today are as follow:

First Reading - Deuteronomy 18:15-20
Second Reading - 1 Corinthians 7:32-35
Gospel - Mark 1:21-28

As we are celebrating the grace granted to us by our God through Jesus Christ, we have also celebrated the birthday of our brother in Christ Janos. We pray that God bless him, strengthen him, answer his prayers and give him more courage to continue assisting the Church as he has done in the past.

Young Adam, accompanied by his parents who joined our community received a warm welcome. and He will join the First Communion classes. we invite you to bring your sons and daughters to follow the right path by laying a strong foundation as Christians through this education which starts at the very early age.

Our two Nuns who live near one the senior age homes, and also assisting there have joined us for today's Holy Service. Such an honor and blessing.

Also, brother Adam with his wife as he usually does, we are delighted to pray together today. He has also introduced us to a programme they are working on to visit the Holy City "Jerusalem" around November this year, therefore, inviting all those who are interested to join and have a great experience as a community.

As we usually do, there is Coffee and tea and have a chat, know each other and crack some jokes. It is just amazing to be part of this community. We are therefore inviting you to join us and be part of the service next Sunday.

Today's Sunday has been blessed very well will a mass of snow comparing to last Sunday. We are therefore edged to put on warm clothing and feet wears​.

As we are together with our families of different kinds (Family in Jesus Christ, Biological families, Friends families etc) celebrating and remembering these important days of what happened in Bethlehem years back, we also remember to do it in prayers and praises of our Lord Jesus Christ and for the Great news of his birth.

There will be still a service at our Church from 10:30am to 12h00. We hope that you can get an opportunity to join us as we all receiving a good news of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Last Sunday, here at our great community, we reminded ourselves of The beginning of one of greatest period in history and life of Christians, the ADVENT,

Advent is the Season that includes four Sundays preceding Christmas. The Advent Season marks the beginning of the Liturgical Calendar. It always begins in late November or early December. On November 30th or on Sunday that is the closest to this date, the Catholic Church begins the Liturgical Season of Advent. Advent ends on December 24th before the evening prayer of Christmas.

On the very same day, we remember the birthday of our priest, Fr. Michael. Although the birthday was in the mid of that week, everyone one was singing aloud celebrating 🤗😀 the very important day in his life. Also, he celebrated the day together with his niece and the niece's husband who came over for a Holy Mass.

It is just so many good things happening in this beautiful church. The church may seem small in size but the harmony and love are so extensive.

Please, you don't want miss next Sunday, so much is coming but I rather not say, come and witness yourselves. although not only to have fun with a great community but most importantly to praise our God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit together.

Lastly, Augusta and all those who are involved in the project of collecting the Christmas gift for the homeless wish to extend their great gratitude for the already received gifts. They are still encouraging of those who are able and need to make a difference in someone's life to please come forward. Matthew 22: 39 - "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF"

Good morning beautiful people.

Just a quick reminder as we are preparing to go to our beautiful church to praise our God and practice our faith together. Let's again check in our wardrobes and see (shoes, scuffs, gloves, jackets or even some toys for kids) that we don't need anymore and bring them along to church.

These beautiful presents/gifts will be offered to homeless people around Christmas time which will bring joy into their life. Please bring them along so that we can make a difference in someone's life and also make Augusta's church project a success.

Lets us share this page and spread a good news of Jesus Christ. As the word for today is speaking of those who were given different gifts and one of them who got the least did not use them, and thereafter it was taken away from him and given to the one with more. For us, also, we need to use the gift and opportunity we have got for God today to empower others in different ways. Including by sharing the word of God across the land.

Today we have celebrated a beautiful Memory of St. Elizabeth a Hungarian selfless Saint. In her memories to what she has done for the needy and fr her giving up on all her belongings including the castle he lived in which he later declared it to be called the castle of the poor,. we had bread which was blessed and shared amongst the families who came to church.🤗🤗🤗🤗

It was a great Sunday service today by Friday. Michael. We have also Witness and received a new member being baptized and becoming Jesus Christ Child where he will grow and walk in a Christian path.

We invite you as well to join us for a service and enjoy a community chat and connect up with others while having a cup of coffee after the Holy Mass.
