Húsvéti köszöntés 2026 tavaszán
Magyar Katolikus Püspöki Konferencia – Magyarországi Egyházak Ökumenikus Tanácsa
„… A VILÁG NEM LÁT MAJD ENGEM, DE TI LÁTTOK, MERT ÉN ÉLEK, TI IS ÉLNI FOGTOK.” (Jn14,19)
Ezek a szavak a Húsvét örömhírét fogalmazzák meg. A húsvéti örömhírnek az a lényege, hogy Isten győzött a gonoszság hatalma, a bűn és a halál felett, Jézus Krisztus kereszthalála és feltámadása által életet és reményt ad a világnak. Erre a reményre pedig égetően nagy szükségünk van ma, amikor háborúk, társadalmi feszültségek, üldözött keresztény testvéreink szenvedései, járványok, százmilliók kiáltó szegénysége, a természet pusztítása és sok más veszély árnyékolja be napjainkat.
Jézus azonban legyőzte a sötétség hatalmait, Ő él, és mindnyájunkat megszólít, hogy tanúskodjunk róla életünkkel és szavainkkal, felekezeti különbségeket átívelő bizonyossággal, hiszen Ő közös Urunk. Ahol az Isten szeretetéről szóló húsvéti örömhírt megszólaltatják, ott hit ébred, ott élet pezsdül a lelki sivatagban, ott felkarolják a hajléktalant, kenyeret adnak az éhezőnek, segítő kezet a rászorulónak, reményt az öregség terhét hordozónak, ott a családok hűségben és szeretetben élnek, ott örömmel mondanak igent a gyermekáldásra, ott remény csillog az emberek szemében. Ünnepeljük így az idei Húsvétot, ne csak szép szavakkal, hanem mindenekelőtt az életünk tanúságtételével! Tegyünk meg mindent, ami rajtunk áll hívő közösségeink valamint nemzetünk lelki megújulásáért, és azért, hogy az emberiség nagy családja rátaláljon a hit és a szeretet, az igazságosság és a békesség útjára!

Easter Greetings in Spring 2026

”… THE WORLD WILL NOT SEE ME ANYMORE, BUT YOU WILL SEE ME. BECAUSE I LIVE, YOU ALSO WILL LIVE.” (John 14:19)
These words of Scripture speak of the good news of Easter. For, the essence of Easter joy is that God triumphs over the powers of evil, sin and death. Through the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God gives life and hope to the world, a hope which is desperately needed today; when wars, social tensions, epidemics, the sufferings of our persecuted Christian neighbours, the glaring poverty of hundreds of millions, the destruction of nature, and many other dangers cast a shadow over our days.
Jesus conquers the powers of darkness. He lives, and he calls all of us to bear witness to him with our lives and words; and with a certainty that transcends denominational differences. For, Jesus is our common Lord. Where the Easter good news of God’s love is preached, faith awakens. There, life blossoms in spiritual deserts, the homeless are supported, the hungry are fed, the needy are helped, and hope is given to those who bear the burden of old age. There, families live in love and fidelity and joyfully say yes to bearing and nurturing children. There hope shines in the eyes of all people.
Let us celebrate this Easter not only with beautiful words but first and foremost with the testimony of our lives. Let us do our utmost for the spiritual renewal of our faith communities and for that of our nation, so that the entire family of humanity might discover anew the way of faith, love, justice and peace.
