New Hope Mission Haiti

New Hope Mission Haiti New Hope Mission is a ministry of General Assembly & Church of the Firstborn in Marianni, Haiti
Our It is like heaven on earth!

Our mission: Our church, General Assembly & Church of the Firstborn, in Hohenwald, Tennessee, owns a mission compound in Marianni, Haiti in the community of Carrefour which includes a church & a school. Our mission is to have a place where King Jesus is glorified and His Kingdom principles are lived & taught. It is our heart to see young leaders trained to take their place in the family, the churc

h and the community. Our School: At this time, we have grades K - 12 which are in operation from September through the month of June. The school operates 190 days per year at least 4 hours per day, from 7:00 am to 12:30 pm. We would like to start a feeding program where the kids will get at least one meal per day while at school. There is a huge gap between the children's lives at school and in their communities. The school is a safe haven and a place of peace and stability. It takes $200 dollars to send a child to school in Haiti for an entire year, this includes books, supplies, uniforms and one meal per day. The average yearly income for a Haitian is $250 US, the parents cost to send the child to school is $50 for books, the school provides the rest for a cost of $150 US. Many children are unable to go to school because of the parents inability to come up with their portion of the fees. We would love to change that with your assistance. Professional School: Also we would like to see a Professional School developed that would use the same facilities in the afternoon. We would like to see training in English (as a second language), Nursing, Plumbing & Electrical, Mechanics, Computer Technologies, Cosmetology & Agriculture. Immediate Needs:

Here is an update from Pastor a Emile.

"It has been raining all week down here in Haiti . This is how it is here in Haiti, when it rains every one stays at home ( if you have one) because if it were to rain in Haiti like it rains in US it woulb be a disaster pray for us and we'll be praying for you all. God Bless."

Please keep praying for the mission and all the people in Haiti. There has been lots of flooding from all the rain.

We just spoke with Pastor Emile and he wanted to thank everyone who gave to help them with the hurricane relief. He was able to send some of our own church members to some of the hard hit areas, where their own family members live, to bring supplies. They send a huge "thank you"!

Also, thank you to the General Assembly Academy students for raising $251 to send to Haiti for a Christmas blessing.

All is well on the compound, they are currently doing the annual repainting of all the buildings. It is hot, hard work but it always makes the compound look refreshed!

Thank you, to everyone who prays and supports our mission, we hope you are very blessed this Christmas season.

We just spoke with Pastor Emile and the area around our compound was not hit hard by the hurricane. He and the people in our church are fine, however many of their families are not because they lived in the province. The province was hit hard and there was a lot of devastation and death there.

Our church members in Haiti are currently raising money so some of them can take a truck load of food, clean water, and medical supplies to help the people who are in the hard hit areas and help however they can.

If anyone would like to help them with this project please let us know, all help would be appreciated. You can contact our office in Tennessee at 931-796-4361 and speak to them about the Hurricane Relief Fund or message Michelle Bonville for more information.

Above all, please keep the people of Haiti in your prayers, those who are facing the devastation first hand and those who have lost loved ones during this time. Thank you all for your support and prayers!
