Beth and I spent quite a bit of time with Pastor Lucien and his wife Roussemie on several trips to Haiti 2016 - 2018. They are the house parents/administrators of the Center of Refuge to Save Unfavored Kids. They have operated the orphanage since 2010 which currently houses and cares for 47 children. They also have six children of their own and run a school and a church.

They are struggling right now because they lost funding from a major donor at the beginning of 2024 and because of the political upheaval and gang-related violence taking place in Haiti.
