Hey everyone,

I apologize for the late notice, I am a terrible procrastinator.

I'm trying to get an idea of what y'all think.

I won't be there tomorrow to teach, and I'm not going to be able to teach for a while due to some travel, sports tournaments, etc...

Before I cancel Sunday's g*therings, I wanted to see if you all would want to still g*t together Sunday's for Worship and Fellowship.

If we get enough people who are still interested in coming we will open the cafe and it can be an informal g*thering.

Comment and give me your thoughts!

Thanks!

Happy Saturday everyone!

I wanted to share this video that I found, which is a narrated PowerPoint by Jim Fowler, who I have quoted often.

This is particularly addressing James 1:14-15 dealing with the source of temptation. I know we are past this section, but I thought it was worth the 15 min anyway, so if you get a chance, take a look.

I will say a few things:

1) Remember, he is a scholar. You will see what I mean. If it seems a little mono-tonal, just stick with it because I think the content is worth it.

2) He uses a pretty crude analogy at one point to illustrate his point of subject-verb relation. Again, stick with it.

3) I think the main point that he is trying to communicate is that "temptation" itself cannot act. It is not a being that can will itself onto its "subject". Meaning that there must be another being or force "acting" as the temptation through our unique desires and weaknesses, manipulating and using them against us. Jim says that this is the Temptor himself, Satan.

Let me know what y'all think.

Blessing, hope to see y'all tomorrow!

Hey all, unfortunately I have been sick all night and not slept at all, so we will NOT be meeting this morning 4/30. My apologies, prayers appreciated.

Hey all, just wanted to post some mid-week encouragement/reminder from our talk Sunday.

I'm sure many if not all of us have already come across some kind of trial, hardship, or testing this week. Remember to keep an eternal perspective and respond with patience and joy. So much easier said than done right!? My prayers are with each of you in this daily struggle, as I am in it with you!

"Our values determine our evaluations. If we value comfort more than character, then the trials of life will upset us. If we value the material and physical more than the spiritual, we will not be able to 'count it all joy'. If we live only for the present and forget the future, the trials will make us bitter, not better." - Warren Wiersbe

Here is the article I was talking about today.

Have a blessed week y'all!!

Jesus’ “high priestly prayer” (John 17) is only about 650 words. It takes only 3 minutes and 30 seconds to read it aloud. But it will take all eternity for us to fully understand it I recently found…

Trying to get a head count for tomorrow. Can you comment if you are planning on coming tomorrow? 9:30 at Respire Café

26/11/2016

Happy Saturday everyone!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we WILL have service tomorrow morning at 9:30 at Respire Café in spite of rumors of election results being posted.

If results are in fact released and you feel it would be unwise to come, please stay home.
Otherwise, we will have coffee flowing land fellowship going!

Love y'all,
Peace!
