" The Lord is our Shepherd, we shall not be afraid" Psalm 23!
The 2023 was tough and hard. We were scared, we fought, we lose strength and energy, we fall, we stood up again, we fought and we made it to a point where we felt like we could do it anymore until...we started to look back and see how God was and is and will always be good to us and using us.
We thought that we were working in vain until we starting doing our statistics for the year and saw a glimpse of hope. This hope us from the work that the Holy spirit did through us and how so many of you friends dis stand to encourage and motivate us to push forward. For the 2023, the country broke us down to our knees and we thought that we could not do big but the Holy was there to convince us that the work is not about us but all about God. So, God, through us was able to plant 15 Simple churches, 264 converts, 18 Discovery Bible study and 22 churches house and 73 baptisms.
God is good and we could not be more pride then being disciples of Jesus Christ.
As this new year starts, we pray that God will bring his peace to Haiti as it is in Heaven, we pray that his kingdom come and his will be done.

It has been close to 6 months since we did not post anything f on our page! Fear did cover the whole country and most of us were scared to go out because of the violence and the gangs activities all over the capital and a few other places in Haiti.
We were staying in our place and interceded for the whole country that is under the power of the darkness. Most of us did not want to go far because the risk to get hurt is high. We thought that staying in our peaceful place and pray will bring a change but we saw things got worse and worse.
We did not do visit, we did not try to go strengthening others, we were trying to protect ourselves but we saw there was not a result from hiding.
Back in February, with the energy that pastor Gabe had, he motivated us to get out of our comfort zone if we want to see something news, we've been hiding for so long and there was any result but now we have to find another strategy to bring God's kingdom here in Haiti.
We prayed together, we repented together for the Haitian people and we asked God to open our eyes to see what he is doing that we would put hands with him. In spite of that meeting, we did not start right away. All of us went back to home and we were continued to pray until the end of March, we started receiving call from several leaders that were asking for prayer because they were going to other zones to visit other leaders and also try to get to places that is dangerous to share Jesus.
Pastor Emile in his trip to cornillon got in a trape that the gangs laid. They took all the money he had that he was going to help the church with. He was going to build a tent for the 2 churches there and they took all the money he had in his hand. They did not hurt him and we praise God for that. He went to the churches in spite his handicap, he did walk miles and miles to get there just to be with them and strengthens the leaders.
Actually, pastor Emile is in mirbalais strengthening the church planters there.
Brother Yves just got back from a trip he had to a place call Maissade. He was training leaders and was able to baptized 16 people. He said the trip was a great success.pastor Rosias went to the Nippes district, he met with the leaders that used to work with our brother Jesilon Guillaumete that left us since August last year. They were waiting for this meeting for so long, they thought that they were working alone but by seeing Pastor Rosias, they got comforted.

While we got back on track, we've been experiencing a lot of grace and mercy from God. We felt like fear was holding us from preaching the Gospel and now we will move forward even though the country is very bad but we will do our best to keep pushing forward until we see a result. most of us does not have the possibility to leave the country because of that we will work under the power of the Holy Spirit to bring a piece of change here. With the power of the Holy Spirit, we will work to see if we can make it livable for us

Please, please, please! Keep praying for us as we are in this move to visit our brothers and sisters and continue to spread the gospel. Spray that a lot of souls will encounter Jesus, pray that the gangs will be willing to listen the gospel and meet Jesus. Pray for safety and pray for more leaders, pastors and christians will put hands in this work. Finally pray that God's will be done in Haiti as it is in heaven.

God is on the throne, he reigns, hallelujah Hallelujah!
After the death of our beloved brother Jesulon Guillaumette, we did take a couple of month to stand with the family and support them the way we can through the sadness they are crossing.

In spite the sadness moment, God was and still is at work everyday. We as human, want to take break and feel discourage to move on but God always stands up and says he is with us and we need to push forward.
God did use us in a mighty un people’s live. He reached out to people that we would not think that would come to follow Christ. In the midst of the chaos, Jesus is always there to offer peace to those that would be willing to accept it and he did for us and for others as well. God through us was able to reach out to 105 people that gave their lives to him, 12 people got engage by accepting to be baptized and 8 new churches got planted, Praise God!

In the midst of the problem, he is always there to offer solution to us.

Also today in the DR, a new simple church got planted and each person in the group as great testimonies about the calling they receive from God.

The Lord is faithful even when we are not, he always keeps his promise.

Please, pray for:
- Security to come to Haiti
- Pray that the Haitian and Dominican churches will set up the model of peace for the others to see what God can do.
- pray for hearts to be changed in Christ’s name

“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far.” Philippians 1: 21-23!

Jesulon Guillaumette, one of the main leader of Simple church, missionary in the Nippes District, passed away last Wednesday at 11:00 pm. the news is still hard on us and so many of us cannot hold tears in our eyes. He was a man full with integrity and perseverance in his faith. He leds 370 house churches with 5 generations. He was a good exemple for so many in the ministry and around himself. He is gone and let his wife and his daughter behind.

This is such a great lost for us but it is a gain for him because he is with our Savior and Lord Jesus.

Please, lift up his family in prayer and pray that God’s kingdom will come.

The power of God among fear

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; psalms (46:1-2)

God deserves all the glory and honor in all circumstances of our lives. Good or bad, we need to lift up his name high.
This 2022 is appearing harder and darker then the years that passed. We could feel the weight of the fear that is wrapping the country and also the churches here in Haiti. While the enemy is doing that, God in the other hand, is working diligently to restore and save a lot of Souls through the small groupes that stay obedient to his words.
While the gangs are operating everywhere in the country, the leaders of the ministry have to spend more time in their zones and being able to impact the people around them more and more.

This past 6 months, we went through a lot of up and down moment in the ministry. Life got harder for many of us and fear grows more in the heart of the people. The uncertainty is getting worse and we don’t know when it will stop.
Most of our leaders are scared to travel, the disciples makers are getting low in their faith and the power of the church is getting down.

In the past 6 months we were able to plant 8 Churches, 20 houses of prayer, 20 got baptized and 117 people gave their lives to Christ.

- Please, pray for each leader that is willing to get into this battle field.
- Pray that the Holy Spirit will lead this work and we will just fallow his way.
- Pray that all the worries will go away that more leaders will put hands in this work.
- Pray that Haiti will be unified and will be under God’s rules.

We will praise you, oh God, our lord in the storms! We will lift our hands to give you glory, you are God no matter where we are. Every steps we make you hold our hands and you never let our heart troubled when things are worse in front of us.

Our country Haiti is crossing very hard nomment, we lost faith and doubted but always in the midst of all the troubles, God always shows us that he is in control.
In spite of all the troubles here in Haiti, the Holy Spirit is doing his way in our lives. God allows us to be his witness wherever we go and he reaches our souls for his glory.
For the past 2 months we were able to plant 5 simples churches, we baptized 4 people and there were 48 people that gave their lives to Christ, Hallelujah!
Continue to lift the country up in prayer, we believe that God’s will be done soon in Christ’s name.

A few Testimonies from God’s kingdom reaching out to his people down here.

We have tong of testimonies but we will give 3 of all that God did for his people here:

1- Samuel is 2 years old, he could not speak and could not hear anything but his mother came to one of our fasting moment that we do every fourth Friday in a month. She asked the congregation to pray for him and for her family. We did lay hands on him that night, nothing did work until 2 weeks later his mother came back with a great joy testifying how good God is toward her for allowing her son to be able to say a few words and she was asking us to keep praying for her son because nothing is impossible for God.

2- Guerlene was pregnant and bleeding at the same time, she did not have hope that she would have the baby because of the hemorrhagic. We went to pray with her and she felt that a hand touched her and she could not see who did that but the next day the blood did stop, she passed all the rest of the moment of the pregnancy without seeing the blood and she could give birth to the baby without having C-section.

3- After the earthquake that did happen in the south peninsula of Haiti, our partner, Vineyard and Share the Light, did fund us to be able to help our brothers and sisters. Every time we were going out we prayed that God goes before us and intervenes in people’s lives. We went to a place called la place and there was a lady that was suffering with a foot for several months. She believed that a spirit in her family did it to her because she decided to not serving the spirit anymore but to serve Christ. Brother Jonel, Pastor Rosias and Pastor Gabriel prayed over her and ask God to heal her and right after the prayer Jonel hold her hands for a while and asked her to try walking, she did and he asked her about she felt pain and the pain was gone. We praise God for all of that.

The Holy Spirit did a great work through us in the DR, last week and this week. A great conference did happen and there were 85 people that came and most of them are disciples.
A church with 8 months old plant another church and this baby church after being 5 months old plant another church and now this church with 2 months old is starting a house church an other place. All of them did gather for this training and we had some people that got baptisms. We praise Jesus for using us and for allowing his church to multiply in the DR.

Oldest church is growing up in numbers and the place they are gathering is very small. Please pray that God will provide money that they will build a bigger place. They have the land steady but not having enough financing to build.

The model of the building they do in this remote place is in wood and not expensive. If you are willing to help, message us for more details!

Pastor Roberto Pierre

Commissioner of the North Region
He is married and has a beautiful daughter. His wife had 2 miscarriage, and now they are just 3 as a family. He is a commissioner and oversees 4 missionaries, each of which are reaching a district in the north of Haiti. Pastor Roberto does not have an agenda. If he hears that the Lord says yes, he will take off even if the district that he is called to is dangerous. He trusts the Lord despite the lack of resources that he has.
Pastor Roberto Pierre is on fire for Jesus. He leads worship in big outreach events. He takes care of his family through faith in God, the provider. His only one job is to spread the kingdom of God to people, and he trusts the Lord for his income. He has a gift to go out and spread the gospel to people. He is not scared to risk his life for the power of the gospel. He loves God. He does not have a salary but he uses little he gets to go to so far in the mountains to reach out to people for Christ. Through Pastor Roberto, God sets people free from demons and bondages. Pastor Roberto has a heart for his ministry; please keep him in prayer while he is in this journey with Christ.

Commissioner of the South Region
Pastor Joseph Rosias

Joseph is our main regional leader in the south of Haiti. He is a commissioner and he works with 3 missionaries that are leading districts. Pastor Joseph is married and his wife had 2 miscarriages after their years of marriage. They desire a third person in their family.
Pastor Joseph works with farmers. He takes care of their sick animals and he is able to share Christ with those people and plant churches in remote places. He loves working with people in the country, and he is also able to support his family through the little he can get from the farmers. He is mentoring his leaders and equips them to go forward with the vision of the ministry. He has the gift of pastoral care; he loves ministering to people and shares the love of Christ with them. He focuses on serving his community and trains his disciples to do the same. He is passionate for what he is doing for the Lord; he likes to help people understand their calling. Please pray for peace for him while he is out preaching the gospel, and that one day God will bless him and his wife with a baby to complete their family.

Commissioner of the West District
Jonel Jnbaptiste

Missionary Jonel is a young leader that has been disciplined by the coordinator. He loves Jesus and he loves people. He has a heart to give what he has to people. He is married, and has 2 kids. He grew up in a divided family; he used to sing rap music with a lot of guys from the ghetto. His heart is to go out and reach those guys for the Lord, and not only them, but also he is investing his time to work alongside the coordinator to go to the remote places to teach and preach. He is using his talent to sing at church to glorify God. Jonel loves to go on adventures. He loves to go to places where others are afraid to go.
Jonel gives all his time for the cause of Christ. He is working also as a security guard and he used exemple about soldiers' files and being obedient all the time but with his faith in Christ he finds joy in everything that he is doing and also shares the little that he has to others. Please pray that he will stay unashamed of the gospel.

“God is our strength, a very present help in trouble” psalms 46:1
May the Blessing of the Lord, our God, be upon you as you are reading this newsletter from Simple Church. We are so grateful to our savior Jesus for always standing with us in all we are doing for his kingdom. Jesus is the best leader that ever exists because he never lays back and lets us alone in the work. Instead he is the one that makes the way and prepares it so that everyone would know we are his faithful servants like it says in Marc 16:20.

The past three months were not easy but brought fruit for the kingdom. In spite of all the uncertainty, the political unrest, the earthquake and the storm, we were able to use all the access we found to reach out souls for the glory of God. Jesus sees and always stands to protect and guide us in all we do.
The month of June, we had the central conferences and it went well. Our commissioner Jonel, was able to gather 30 of his best disciples makers and trained them. We were able to plant 6 churches and had 34 converts.

July was a little bit crazy with the Covid that got intense. There were some restrictions but we did cross it with God’s help. The gangs did control the whole south entrance of port au prince and they did block the big store of gas that the whole country has and it was hard to find gas to go anywhere. The whole month was a big problem for gas but with God’s help, every move we took, we tried to use it for the kingdom. We were able to plant 7 churches and 54 converts.
August was good at the beginning! We were able to find gas and traveled to some other parts of the country but the middle of it was a big disaster! On August 14th, the south peninsula of the country got hit by an earthquake of 7.2 and everyone in the West district felt it. Right after that, on Monday the 16th, there was a storm! August was crazy but God did open some families' hearts to receive the words and we were able to plant 5 churches, 18 converts and 6 baptisms.

In the Dominican Republic, things are going great and we were so happy to get to spend time with the churches. God did use us in a mighty way for his glory and the spirit brought repentance among us and some were deciding to restore, marry and baptize. Brother Leon Edrice is doing incredible work for the kingdom. All the churches are growing up and the buildings are too small for the people that come to the services. Pastor Roberto went to the DR, to continue the work that we did there and to baptize and marry some of the people there.
