Today we celebrated our Annual First Fruit Service. During this service, Minister Andrea Bodden shared teachings using symbols that represent different aspects of our Christian life:

1.Horn of Plenty / Cornucopia: This represents our life. We often see the horn of plenty overflowing with fruit, but this one is empty. When our lives are empty like this horn, we must choose to fill them with the fruits of the Spirit and the Word of God.

2. Menorah: This represents the six days of creation and the one day of rest. The middle candle is usually lit, symbolizing Jesus at the center of our lives and Him being light of the world.

3. Annointing Oil: Represents being set apart for God’s purpose and signifies the anointing and presence of the Holy Spirit.

4. Wine: This symbol reminds us of the blood that Jesus shed for us while he was on the cross.

5. Bread: Represents the body of Jesus that was beaten and bruised and put to death for our sins so that we may live and have eternal life.

6. Fish: Represents Jesus and our calling as believers. In Scripture, the fish is a symbol of Christ and reminds us that we are called to be “fishers of men,” sharing the gospel and bringing others to Him.

Sunday Morning Message by Minister Terry Ann Bodden

John 11:40 (NIV)
"Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”"

Key takeways:
- "Divine love doesn't always shield us from pain, but serves for a greater purpose."
- "Sometimes we struggle to see God's purpose in the hardships we go through."
- "Delay tests our and helps us grow, but it's for our good and God's glory."

Jesus reminds us that faith allows us to see God’s glory, even in seasons of pain, delay, and hardship because every struggle is working toward a greater purpose.
