We had a great missions conference this year! This year we represented Brazil, Nigeria, and the Ukraine and presented the need for missionaries in these countries. The preaching was exactly what we needed to hear, decisions were made for the Lord and our church increased their faith promise for missions. We are thankful for Pastor Kaleb Norris coming and being part of our conference!

We celebrated kids day at church on Sunday morning. Praise the Lord for good attendance and a good spirit in spite of a few complications. We had a total of 150 people on the bus and 230 in attendance. When we arrived with a bus load of people to the church, we discovered there was no electricity. The van later arrived with another 25 riders. It was very hot out, about 95°, and without any fans to move the air around it felt very uncomfortable. We made the best out of it though, and everybody kept a good attitude. Several of the children’s Sunday school classes had over 50 people in them. It really brought home to us the fact that if our church is going to continue to grow, we need more space. Thankfully, the electricity came back on, and we were able to turn on the fans and cool things off a little. We had many first time visitors, as well as others who had not been out for a long time. Everyone was pretty tired and sweaty at the end but it was worth it!

VEHICLE REPAIR UPDATE:

Around the middle of July both our church bus and personal family vehicle (Toyota SUV) were experiencing serious engine problems. Thankfully, both are now back on the road and by all appearances, running the way they should. The Toyota needed the most work out of the two and it wound up being much more expensive and time consuming than I originally expected. However, GOD IS FAITHFUL and EVERYTHING almost to the dollar (or Lempira) was provided for! Thank you to everyone who gave when the need arose. Both vehicles are now running the way they should and Lord willing, I expect to get many more miles of service out of them!
