Lord of Wisdom, grant me discernment in sharing Your truth. Help me know when to speak and when to listen, offering Your precious pearls to hearts ready to receive them.

Jesus, I trust in You. Amen 🙏

GOSPEL OF THE DAY
Matthew 7:6-14

"Do not give dogs what is holy; and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under foot and turn to attack you.

"Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?

Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent?

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

So whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the law and the prophets.

"Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.

For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

Reflection

Jesus says: "Do not give what is holy to dogs, or throw your pearls before swine." This surprising teaching reveals that divine mysteries require hearts properly disposed to receive them. Not everyone is ready for every truth at every moment.

This is not about withholding the Gospel but about discernment in how we share it. A doctor doesn't prescribe the same medicine to every patient. Similarly, spiritual truths must be offered according to each person's capacity and readiness.

Do you share your faith with wisdom and sensitivity? Some people need gentle invitation; others need direct challenge. Ask the Holy Spirit for the gift of discernment—to know when to speak, when to wait, and how to present the precious pearls of truth entrusted to you.

Merciful Lord, free me from the sin of rash judgment. Show me my own faults before I look at others'. Give me humility to correct with love and receive correction with grace.

GOSPEL OF THE DAY
Matthew 7:1-5

"Judge not, that you be not judged.

For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get.

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?

Or how can you say to your brother, `Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye?

You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

Reflection
Jesus warns: "Remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother's eye." A certain disordered satisfaction comes from judging others—it makes us feel superior while avoiding our own faults.

A judgmental heart presumes the worst about others while excusing itself. This is spiritual blindness. We cannot clearly see another's faults when our own vision is blocked by pride, envy, or self-righteousness.

Before correcting anyone today, examine yourself first. Honest self-criticism—recognizing your own "beam"—is the first step to seeing with God's eyes. When you approach others with humility, your correction becomes an act of love rather than condemnation.

GOSPEL OF THE DAY
Matthew 10:26-33

"So have no fear of them; for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.

What I tell you in the dark, utter in the light; and what you hear whispered, proclaim upon the housetops.

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father's will.

But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

So every one who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven;

but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

Reflection
Jesus tells His disciples: "What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops." He warns not to fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul, and assures that every hair on their heads is counted.

God speaks to us in the quiet of prayer, in the stillness of conscience. But what He reveals is not meant to remain private. We are called to proclaim it boldly, even at great personal cost.

Do you keep your faith hidden out of fear? Jesus assures us that the Father values us more than many sparrows. No proclamation of truth goes unnoticed by Him. Speak boldly today, trusting that the God who counts your hairs also guards your soul.

The Spirit of truth will testify to me, says the Lord;and you also will testify.
