Maaaring gamitin nyo etong "lectio divina" sa inyong pagbubulay-bulay bukod sa Imaginative Contemplation sa inyong pagbabasa ng mga Scripture passages.
Lectio Divina
One way of listening to or reading scripture is lectio divina (divine reading). If we look up or search for lectio divina it may sound rather difficult to do. The following is a simplified approach to it.
Prayerfully seek God’s guidance throughout the process.
Find a quiet place and ask God to help you enter into the process.
Select the scripture you want to listen to.
Read through the chosen passage of scripture. You may choose to literally listen to it if you have access to an audio version of the Bible, or if you want to record and play it back. It need not be a long passage. Even one or two verses may suffice.
Read through or listen to the passage or verses again. Take note of the word or short phrase that catches your attention or strikes you most. Do not analyse the word. Rather, savour it with your spirit. Try to repeat it over and over until it resonates in your heart.
Read (or listen to) the passage yet again. This time become aware of how you feel as you read or listen to the passage. Try to immerse yourself in the feeling. If possible, allow it to engulf you. If it is a positive feeling, rest in it. If it is a negative feeling, struggle with it.
Converse with God regarding the passage. Ask God what He wants to tell you through the passage? What do you hear Him asking you to do? How will you respond?
You may want to journal your experience and your response.
