Good to be back after the long Summer, & a fun evening with delicious curries at the Aberdeen Boat Club to welcome us back too! Rev Will & Dot back from uk too, and off we all go into the still very warm Autumn days ahead…

Here are just a few faces from amongst our vibrant congregation after the dinner.

Many thanks to the Price family for organising it, & for photos!

And a picture to celebrate all the birthdays of all those who’ve had birthdays over the past month!

Come and join us, we’re an inclusive & liberally minded bunch: 10am Sundays, in St Stephen’s College in Stanley.

Good visit to the Kowloon Mosque this morning with the Hong Kong Network on Religion & Peace.
Being united across our religions with regard to our humilities was much stressed by our kind host, the Chief Imam Arshad: yes indeed…

Lots of fruitful discussion.

Time to catch up with some photos of recent events:

A fun Summer Survivors’ Party last weekend for some of all those who haven’t yet gone away on vacation.

And a couple of photos from the joyful baptism of little Celine.

Happy Summer all!

Lovely service this morning, & to welcome back here again The Very Reverend Professor Martyn Percy who preached about witness - stimulating and useful!

We seldom notice how each day is a holy place
Where the eucharist of the ordinary happens,
Transforming our broken fragments
Into an eternal continuity that keeps us.

Somewhere in us a dignity presides
That is more gracious than the smallness
That fuels us with fear and force,
A dignity that trusts the form a day takes.

So at the end of this day, we give thanks
For being betrothed to the unknown
And for the secret work
Through which the mind of the day
And wisdom of the soul become one.

As part of the Hong Kong Network on Religion & Peace some of us joined up for an evening of meditation and spiritual discussion at the Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Centre.

Interfaith dialogue is important!
