====

Book Summary
==========
This book explores how religious diversity impacts modern society, how modern society responds to religious diversity, and how Christianity's relationship with other religions should be reconsidered within contemporary social contexts. Centered on the issue of religious diversity, the work draws on interdisciplinary perspectives to interpret this phenomenon and examines its implications—such as tolerance, human rights, and justice—from the dimensions of philosophy of religion, global ethics, political philosophy, and social governance.
The book advocates for a socially oriented interreligious dialogue, which yields two ways of understanding religious diversity: On one hand, religious traditions internally exhibit a longing for unity amid differences, seeking shared ethical values for human life. On the other hand, the factual reality of religious diversity, coupled with active responses through pluralism, promotes religious tolerance and freedom of religion, thereby advancing freedom of conscience in a broader sense. At the same time, liberalism's core values—particularly its full recognition of plurality—serve as a crucial safeguard for the flourishing of religious diversity.
