On February 25, I’m turning 60 and I want you to celebrate with me. I have two passions: birds and missions. I desire to see Christ honored on earth, especially among the least-reached of the gospel. But I also delight in observing birds in the wild and caring for their environment.
Right after the 9-10:30am worship service at CCBC, I want you to enjoy some snacks of p**o (courtesy of Gloria Avante), coffee, and/or Taho. And then receive a gift from me – a postcard of birds (printed courtesy of Joshua Villaruz). These are my photographs of wild birds.
And if you intend to give a gift to me, make a donation to the Missions-Faith-Promise fund of CCBC instead. I am praying that I will be able to contribute 6% of the total amount of Php2M committed by CCBC to support missionaries and agencies in 2024.
You may want to send the postcard to a missionary with a word of encouragement written on it for them. But if you want to have it as a keepsake, then send a photo of it through social media with a word of encouragement for them.

Inviting you to PAUSE

We face various kinds of uncertainties in life. It comes in the form of a dreaded disease, a lost opportunity, setbacks in business and career, a failing marriage, or a wayward son. Moreover, the damaging interruptions of the COVID-19 crisis and the onslaught of typhoons and floods are common challenges for all of us. We are also challenged with the unjust ways in our world that keep many in the mire of poverty and ignorance while being further exploited to death.

Ang series ng ating devotions this coming week ay reflections mula sa book of Habakkuk para i-guide ang CCBCers sa pag-engage with God in prayer and fasting.

Sa pamamagitan ng buhay ni Habakkuk, sabay-sabay tayong matuto at mag-practice kung paano mag-pray in the form of wrestling, waiting, watching, listening, interceding, and worshipping. Instead of panic, we PAUSE.
