京城的十字架與星象——漫步北京耶穌會歷史遺址

適逢耶穌會在香港福傳一百週年，本講座特別透過北京城中的耶穌會歷史遺址，回顧耶穌會士在中國留下的信仰與文化足跡。
四百多年前，一群遠道而來的耶穌會士走進北京。他們帶來的不只是福音，也帶來天文、曆法、地理與科學知識，使北京逐漸成為中西文明交流的重要舞台。
在皇城的城牆之內與古老街巷之間，至今仍散落著許多動人的歷史記憶：古觀象台上的青銅天文儀器、京城古老教堂的鐘聲、歷史墓園與舊址，以及那些曾見證信仰與學術交流的重要場所。
在這些遺址背後，也交織著許多耶穌會士與歷史人物的故事——他們如何以學問與信仰走進中國文化世界，又如何在不同文明之間建立對話與理解。

本講座將以《漫步北京耶穌會遺址——中西文明交匯的空間記憶》一書為引，帶領參與者走進北京城中的歷史遺址與故事，重新發現一段充滿信仰、科學與文化交流的歷史。
這不僅是一場歷史講座，更是一趟穿越古城、探索文明相遇的旅程。

《鼎》207期已經出版！The new issue of Tripod (no. 207) just came out!
2025禧年是天主教會慶祝的聖年，以「希望的朝聖者」作為慶祝主題。禧年已接近尾聲，不少教友已參與了不少慶祝禧年的活動，特別是朝聖旅程，亦有教會團體強調禧年所強調的對弱小者的關懷。本期《鼎》的主題是「禧年與希望」，幾位作者從不同的角度反思禧年和相關活動。檢視禧年的原意和相關活動是否回應了禧年的初衷。

Jubilee 2025 is a holy year celebrated by the Catholic Church, with the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.” As the Jubilee draws to a close, many Catholics have participated in numerous celebratory activities, particularly pilgrimages. Some church groups have emphasized the Jubilee's focus on caring for the vulnerable. This issue of Tripod focuses on “Jubilee and Hope,” with authors reflecting on the Jubilee and related activities from different perspectives. It examines the original meanings of Jubilee and whether the related activities have responded to its initial purpose.

公開講座: 教宗良十四世與中梵關係
Seminar: Pope Leo XIV and Sino–Vatican Relations

中國共產黨與羅馬天主教之間已有近百年的互動，曾經彼此誤解、敵視、對抗、共存、到現今共同協議等多重轉變的關係。本講座將探討中共從毛澤東到習近平各代領導人對管治宗教，尤其天主教，背後的理念，政策與落實，及天主教會的不同回應。最後以中梵歷史互動為格局，探討教宗良十四世與中梵關係的前景。
The relationship between the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Roman Catholic Church has spanned for a century characterized by mutual misunderstanding, hostility, confrontation, coexistence, and eventually the current contractual agreement. Chan will present the rationales, policies, and implementations on religion of different CPC leaderships--Mao to Xi, along with their interactive dynamics with the Catholic Church. Based upon the historical pattern of the CPC vis-à-vis the Catholic Church, this speaker will speculate on the Sino–Vatican relation in the Pontificate of Pope Leo XIV.

教宗方濟各在任期間册封了三位歷任教宗成為聖人，當中包括若望廿三世、保祿六世和若望保祿二世，而這三位教宗也是梵二大公會議的積極參與者， 與梵二關係密切，某程度上都是梵二精神的落實者和推廣者，而且三位也很重視福傳使命。但他們都各有風格和牧民重點。今期《鼎》探討梵二以來，教宗方濟各册封的三位教宗聖人的特點和他們所重視的教會發展方向。

Pope Francis canonized three former popes as saints, including John XXIII, Paul VI and John Paul II. These three popes were active participants in Vatican II, having close ties with Vatican II and, to some extent, are implementers and promoters of the spirit of Vatican II. Moreover, all three popes emphasized strongly the mission of evangelization. However, they have their own style and pastoral focuses. In this issue, Tripod explores the characteristics of the three papal saints canonized by Pope Francis since Vatican II and the development directions of the Church that they value.
