As we celebrate 150 years of Lasallian presence in Hong Kong, this inspiring media feature highlights how the De La Salle Brothers continue to pass on the spirit of education and service, walking alongside young people in their growth.
In the interview, Brother Dennis Magbanua, Director of the De La Salle Brothers in Hong Kong, reaffirms our mission:
“As long as there are young people in Hong Kong, the Lasallian Brothers will continue our mission here — nurturing faith through education and drawing them closer to God.”
From the arrival of the first six Brothers in 1875 who established St. Joseph’s College, to founding La Salle College in 1932 and many other schools across Hong Kong, the Brothers have always responded to the educational and social needs of the time.
Their works beautifully reflect the Lasallian family spirit — Faith, Service, and Community — and the joy of accompanying young people as they grow.
