"The call of God is not for tomorrow when you're ready—it is for today while you still have strength."
Serve the Lord While You Are Young!
"Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come..." (Ecclesiastes 12:1, NIV)
But this mindset is not only unbiblical, it is also spiritually dangerous. God calls us to serve Him not later, not when we’re already worn out and tired, but now—habang malakas pa tayo, habang may sigla pa, habang may panahon pa.
Why wait to serve the Lord when you can do it with strength, joy, and passion today?
1. God Deserves Our Best—Not Our Leftovers
The Lord is not a last resort. Romans 12:1 tells us, “Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” Kung kailan tayo may pinaka-enerhiya, pinaka-kakayahan, at pinaka-influential na season sa buhay natin—that is when we should be giving God our fullest.
Serving God in youth is not just about activity, it’s about quality. When we’re young, we have clarity of mind, energy to act, and boldness to take risks for the Kingdom.
2. Joy Is Found in Early Obedience
But the Bible is clear: true joy is found in the presence of the Lord. Psalm 16:11 says, “In Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Bakit pa natin ipagpapaliban ang ganitong klaseng kaligayahan?
Those who serve God early in life discover that obedience leads to joy, not burden. Hindi boring ang pagiging Kristiyano. In fact, a life surrendered to Christ is a life of deepest fulfillment.
3. Youth Is Strategic for the Kingdom
Young people are not just the future of the church—they are the present. Throughout Scripture, God has used young people for mighty purposes. David defeated Goliath as a youth (1 Samuel 17), Josiah became king at 8 years old and led a revival (2 Kings 22), and Timothy was a young pastor whom Paul mentored (1 Timothy 4:12).
Those are the very lies the enemy wants you to believe. But God says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example...” (1 Timothy 4:12). May influence ka ngayon. May time ka ngayon. Use that for God's glory.
4. Delayed Obedience Is Still Disobedience
Many people have the false idea that they can live however they want now and just “get right with God” later. James 4:14 says, “You do not know what tomorrow will bring...”
The more you delay, the harder your heart becomes.
5. A Life Fully Spent for Christ Is Never Wasted
A pastor said, "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." In fact, every moment spent serving Him is counted for eternity.
Serving God while you're young allows you to live a life of eternal significance.
NOW IS THE TIME!
The call is clear: Don’t wait. Serve the Lord now. Don’t give God your worn-out years; give Him your best years. You can serve Him in your studies, in your job, in your relationships, in your influence—basta’t may puso kang magpasakop at sumunod sa Kanya.
So habang bata ka pa, habang may lakas ka pa, habang di pa huli ang lahat—choose to serve the Lord. Hindi mo ito pagsisisihan. In fact, it will be the best decision of your life.
