他的偉大事蹟仍然烙印在我們每一位公教青年心中，20世紀的墨西哥才剛結束了長期流血鬥爭，然而當時在任的卡列斯總統卻選擇迫害天主教會，長達三年的基督戰爭(1926-1929年)隨即爆發；堅決撐起基督軍旗的是年紀不到15歲的少年—— José Sánchez del Rio。

當士兵毆打他，折磨他，他仍然聲嘶力竭地不斷喊著戰鬥口號：「基督君王萬歲！」他奮勇抵抗不願被任何痛苦所屈服。其中一名士兵輕劃了他一刀，逼使他背棄自己的信仰。可他表示拒絕，要求他們處死他，呼求著基督和聖母的名字，並大聲喊叫。士兵們原打算悄悄用刀處死他，但他們的首領因何塞的叫聲而緊張不安，於是拔出手槍，向他開了槍——

在小何塞的屍體上發現了一張紙條，上面寫著:「親愛的媽媽，他們把我俘虜了，今晚我就會被槍斃。我向你保證，在天堂上我會為你們大家預備一個好位置。」署名:「為捍衛天主教信仰、為愛基督君王和瓜達盧佩聖母而死的你的 José Sánchez del Rio」

José Sánchez del Río的信德與勇氣令人敬佩，值得我們學習。為了表達對他的敬意，他的聖髑安放在聖方濟各小堂的祭台中。此外，2月10日是小聖若瑟的瞻禮，我們特別紀念José的殉道事蹟，並懇請小聖若瑟為我們祈禱，幫助我們在信仰旅途中持續向他學習。

他的偉大事蹟仍然烙印在我們每一位公教青年心中，20世紀的墨西哥才剛結束了長期流血鬥爭，然而當時在任的卡列斯總統卻選擇迫害天主教會，長達三年的基督戰爭(1926-1929年)隨即爆發；堅決撐起基督軍旗的是年紀不到15歲的少年—— José Sánchez del Rio。

我們Sapientia 誠意邀請全體師生參與十二月彌撒，臨近考試季，願主賜下平安與智慧，陪伴大家度過挑戰，彼此支持同行；同時，在此為大埔火災受影響的師生同事祈禱，向不幸罹難者深切哀悼，願主安慰並扶持所有受苦的人。願天主的平安與你們各位同在。

We Sapientia cordially invite all members of the student and faculty to the December Mass. This month we welcome the birth of Christ. As exams draw near, may the Lord grant peace, wisdom, and strength to all. We also pray for those affected by the recent Tai Po fire, mourning the victims and asking the Lord to comfort the suffering. May the peace of God be with you all. Amen.

我們葆光 Sapientia 誠意邀請全體師生參與十一月彌撒。在繁忙與壓力交織的季節中，讓我們暫時放慢腳步，於祈禱中尋求平安與力量。求主賜下智慧與力量，彼此同行，彼此支持。
We Sapientia cordially invite all members of the student and faculty to the November Mass. In the midst of this season of busyness and pressure, let us pause for a moment to seek peace and strength through prayer. May the Lord grant us wisdom and fortitude, that we may walk together and support one another.
