Wang was among three Chinese Christians who ventured out to Washington in 2006, to meet with then-president George W Bush trying to convince him to help their battle against strict experts for strict opportunity.
"Minister Wang Yi was simply condemned to 9 years in jail for broadcasting the gospel," the Early Rain assembly reported in an announcement on its official Social Media page. "May the Lord use Pastor Wang Yi's detainment to attract numerous to himself and to carry wonder to his name."
