1970年，聖十字架堂助理主任司鐸林志遠神父成立了「聖若瑟會」和「儲蓄互助社」。《求賜善終經文》成了「聖若瑟會」開會經文，會名後來加上「善終」兩字，成為「聖若瑟善終會」。
