Margaret’s Church Children’s Choir (SMCCC) 於1979年成立, 旨為培育堂區兒童藉著學習聖詠去認識天主, 並用天主賜予的聲音讚美天主。
於2012年, 本團改名為 Seraphim Youth Ensemble (SYE) 。“Seraphim”- 色辣芬是侍立在天主的寶座旁的六翼天使, 他們會以「聖!聖!聖!」高歌讚頌上主 (依6:1-8)。而我們就好像是天堂的色辣芬一樣,在上主的聖殿內以歌詠頌揚祂的名。而“Ensemble”一 字乃一個常見的音樂詞彙, 其意思是由一群擁有不同音樂背景和技能的青少年學習一同向著達成同一目標的音樂團體。
SYE 希望青少年能透過不同類型的音樂來學習, 交流和服務, 更要繼承前身 SMCCC 的宗旨, 再以此分享我們對天主的信仰和尊敬。在不 久的將來, 本團展望, 能突破歌詠團的模式, 在歌唱表演上作出不同 方面的嘗試。

我們歡迎任何對音樂抱有熱誠的年青人, 跟我們一起開拓更精彩的音樂世界!! Margaret’s Church Children’s Choir was established in 1979, where children may utilize their given beautiful voices to express & praise the Lord. With the mission to grow and cultivate children’s relationship with God through learning hymns, the choir is a welcoming assembly offering a passage in familiarizing with God. Holy! Holy!’ (Isaiah 6:1-8). Similarly, we are glorifying God with our angelic voices in our regular choir service at masses. The chosen word“ensemble”carries the great meaning of a united group of musicians in which each individual holds an indispensable role and is credited to the success of the whole. Given our core pursuit and foundational faith for God, we hope to attract youth of passion into our family, conjoining more harmonic voices in praising the Lord using the one universal language - music. Breaking all barriers and stepping forward, we open all doors and welcome not only those who sing, but also those who play any instrument or those who simply have the sheer passion for music.
