Hace unos años prediqué un sermón en mi iglesia de Grupo Amor en Colima, México.
El titulo del sermón fue “La Ciudad de Dios”, basado en Daniel 1:1.
En la Biblia hay dos ciudades que se mencionan constantemente desde Génesis hasta Apocalipsis.
La primera ciudad es Jerusalén. Esta ciudad es la ciudad de Dios. La palabra Jerusalén está compuesta de dos partes, Jeru (fundamento) y salen (shalom), fundamento de paz. Dios ama el fundamento de paz, y El quiere lo mejor para cada ciudad en el mundo.
La segunda ciudad mencionada en la Biblia es Babilonia, la ciudad de la confusión, intimidación y violencia.
Cuando Jerusalén está arriba, Babilonia está abajo, y cuando Babilonia está arriba, Jerusalén está abajo.
En estos momentos, mi ciudad Colima, y otras ciudades en Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato, etc., están experimentando los síntomas de Babilonia.
Oro por Colima, mi estado, mi ciudad donde están mis raíces, mi familia y mis amigos.
Dale fe y esperanza a mi país, te pedimos, Señor, por México….no permitas que esté lejos de Ti.

Some years ago, I preached a sermon in my church of Grupo Amor in Colima, Mexico.
The title of the sermon was “The City of God,” based on Daniel 1:1.
In the Bible, there are two cities which are constantly mentioned from Genesis to Revelation.
The first city is Jerusalem. This city is the city of God. The word Jerusalem is composed of two parts, Jeru (foundation) and salem (shalom), foundation of peace. God loves the foundation of peace, and He wants the best for each city in the world.
The second city mentioned in the Bible is Babylon, the city of confusion, intimidation and violence.
When Jerusalem is up, Babylon is down; and when Babylon is up, Jerusalem is down.
In these moments, my city Colima, and other cities in Jalisco, Michoacan, Guanajuato, etc., are experiencing the symptoms of Babylon.
I pray for my Colima, my state, my city where my roots, my family, and my friends are.
Give faith and hope to my country, we ask, Lord, for Mexico…don’t allow it to be far from You.
