A FAITHFUL PERSON
June 10, 2026
READ: 1 Timothy 1:12-17
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, THE SAME COMMIT THOU TO FAITHFUL MEN, who shall be able to teach others also. - 2 Timothy 2:2
Faithfulness is always a factor in choosing people. When you have to choose somebody, you must always look at the person’s faithfulness. God looked at Paul and considered that he would be a faithful person. That is why he chose Paul. He did not choose Paul because he was clean and sinless. Obviously, Paul was not clean. He was a blasphemer. He was a murderer. He was an opposer of the ministry. But he was faithful.
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that HE COUNTED ME FAITHFUL, PUTTING ME INTO THE MINISTRY; - 1 Timothy 1:12
Just as God chose people to work in the ministry because of their faithfulness, Apostle Paul directed that those to be chosen for the next level of ministry should be faithful people. You must respect this quality of faithfulness just as God respects this quality of faithfulness. Paul was quick to look for faithfulness in others. Stay constant and qualify for a role in the next level of ministry (2 Timothy 2:2).
A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies. - Proverbs 14:5
A faithful person does not tell lies. The presence of lies reveals the beginning of unfaithfulness. Many Christians do not realize how serious it is to tell a lie.
All forms of falsehood, deception, pretence, hiding, misleading comments, incomplete stories are deceptions and indications of unfaithfulness. Are you a faithful man? You are a faithful man when you do not tell lies. Be faithful unto death: do not tell lies until you die.
The moment you tell a lie, you reveal that you are not a faithful person!
