BRIGHTENING IN THE POSITION OF AUTHORITY
Scripture Reading: Daniel 6:4, 1 Samuel 12:1-5
Exposition
Today, many Christians by the grace of God find themselves in High places of authority in our world, nation and organizations. Our study today shows how important Christians in authority can brighten that arena of influence to glorify God in the discharge of their roles. Daniel was in no mean a position in the kingdom of Babylon and could have manipulated his way through for his own interest but he became distinguished among the presidents and the satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him. The king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. This plan became a threat to his collegues and they sought for grounds to find fault and accuse him. The scripture says, they could not find any fault because he was faithful and no error or fault was found in Him. Daniel is an outstanding example of godliness. Child of God in authority, could this be said about you at your place of work or any place the Lord has set you as leader among subordinates or colleagues? As believers and like these patriarchs, we should be able to shine and showcase Christ in exercising our authorities as leaders at all levels, ranging from the home, school, church, work, politics etc. Brighten that arena of influence you hold and bring glory to God by your godly character and bettering the live of the community of beneficiaries your leadership caters for. We have a responsibility as Christians to be faithful to God irrespective of the authority we have at our disposal...........................................................
