Accessing Resources
In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Dan 9:2 (kjv)
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler
Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. Pro. 6:6-8 (kjv)

A wise man once said, “There will come a time in a man’s life when he won’t have all the facts”. We then can go this way “there will come a time in a man’s life when he won’t have all the facts to make a resolving decision of a problem”. The question then is, if you are caught up in such a time what will you do? This is what this episode is about. So stay tuned, go line after line, concept after another to grasp the revelation this episode holds.

Huge problems and decisions require more from us than sorting through the familiar details. Therefore we need to access thoughts that may help us make better decisions in that given situation. I don’t think you need to gather much information to decide whether to recharge your mobile credit account or call someone on your cell phone, you already know the facts (and it’s a very small fact) only you have to apply them wisely and you end up with breakthrough. But if you don’t know what to base your decision on or the factors that needs to be considered in solving great matters which you are not familiar with, you will be heading to a crush. A quality thinker is the one armed with accurate information, because the quality of your solutions are as good as the information which you used in decision making. Since we are deal with accessing information, let me take you through the three basic distinct areas where you can access them (the three types of resources)

In this section we will run through the three types of resources and as we explore, we will get to know when and how to get the best out of them and their possible potential hazards involved. Note that this is a general overview. Don’t end up saying he is negating the word of God (the bible) from the system, that is just not it. What I’m doing here is showing you the possibilities to deal with all problems all round and areas where you can access facts to deal with that. Let’s say you have been given a home work to write on how to deal with waste in your community, since it has come to notice that material waste contributes to choked drainage systems and causes floods in the community or the city as a whole. Such problem does not require scriptures to write or deal with the situation, but quality thinking abilities. Such is what the whole subject (Rethink Possible) is engineering you to be. So stay tuned and consume every line to become a quality thinker.

The Internet Resource

The internet boost of millions of information including ancient and modern facts and good and bad. Using the internet is simple, you must know what and the best way of finding it. Search on the internet is done by three methods, which the first is by using search engines, which includes Google and AllTheWeb. The Meta search engine can also be useful, which runs through many sites at a single time. Example, Surfwax searches Yahoo, AOL, CNN, WiseNut, LookSmart and others. The problem is it does not distinguish between good and bad, just list everything it can find.

The About.com, AcadamicInfo, Librarian’s index (www.lii.org), Infomine (www.infomine.ucr.edu) and Yahoo are site directories and are other ways to search on the internet. The beauty of this method is that the site directories list have been chosen by qualified people. Many of the directories even hire experts in various fields to write guides for their chosen subjects and also to provide links to related sites, for this reason sites of poor quality are not likely to be listed.

With encyclopedias, information could be accessed on the internet. Some are as follows; xrefer.com, encyclopedia.com, britanica.com, encarta.com, education.yahoo.com. Some of these sites may launch you into more than a pool of fifty (50) encyclopedias and dictionaries. With others they provide free access to few paragraphs on an article and you pay per annum (depending on their terms) for the sum total. Others also give full access to less important information and totally nothing on matters of importance unless you pay for them. .

Of course online dictionaries are also methods of accessing facts. Dictionaries like Dictionary.com, searches a bunch of dictionaries at a single time including American Heritage (fourth edition), Webster’s Revised Unabridged (1998), Princeton University’s, WordNet, and the CIA World Factbook. M-W.com: Merriam Webster’s older dictionaries searched free; for access to the new eleventh edition, the annual fee based on terms (merriam-webstercollegiate.com)
Other sites are www.bibliomania.com search for author biographies, as well as through full texts of fiction, drama, and poetry. www.nilesonline.com/data deal with links to find statistics and other facts about government, crime, health, politics, and more. www.findarticles.com and www.martindalecenter.com.

The Library
It will interest you to know that not all facts are found on the internet. There still are certain doctrines that are not published on the internet both old and new. Therefore the library then is where we imaginary meet up with great authors and they speak to us. Now let’s consider the reasons we have to go to the library for facts.

• The Librarians
The librarians are trained, certified and qualified professionals who knows what you are looking for, whether on the stacks or on the internet.

• Non-Searchable Prints
As I said, there are millions of books and other printed materials that have not been published online. The human power to key in or scan every old, deteriorating text, such as back issues of journals, magazines, and newspapers, does not exist. But they may be found in libraries either in print or on microfilm or microfiche. Also most outstanding reference sources are not found online but maybe found in the library either in prints or on microfilm or microfiche.

• Reliable Information
Not all the materials found online are accurate and worth to be relied on. Today accessing the internet is easy, provided you have a device and data anybody can just publish something that may appear good but not on the internet. How do you even get to know this very material is genuine, accurate and reliable! I assure you it is because it is revelation and research based. You can testify of the aroma of scriptures and research concept flavor. Really, published books and periodicals have been through many layers of safety notes before they reach the shelves of a library. They are typically written, edited, proofread and fact-checked, published and then are selected by a librarian for purchase. In case you dream of building your own personal library or for public use, there are many points you have to consider in doing that and among them is selecting materials that are commended by other authors.

• Historical Or Current
Although the internet boost of a great source of information, of information that is very ancient or modern. Instances are you can find the Magna Carta, current state and federal status, but legal research on anything in the early mid-twentieth century is difficult to nearly impossible on the net.

• Price Tag
Many of the site platforms that serves as research centers are price tagged. What they charge per annum is nearly impossible to be paid as an individual. But all the library resources are for free, payable ones are paid by the librarians.

Meeting The Experts
A young man who desired greatness met up with a certain great business man and was told “someone has been where you want to be and someone knows what you need to know” and this changed his life forever. An expert can offer you in a brief moment of time what can take you days, weeks, months, or possibly years to find on the internet or library. Checking credentials is also vital as you take advice from experts. Questions like who is he, where is he getting his thoughts from, what resource dose he rely on should be answered before buying their idea.

Troubleshooting
Have you ever heard someone saying “things couldn’t go as planned”? Yes I have! The thing is things often don’t go as planned. But before we are faced with a huge problem on the way to success as in solving problems, one could think through the situation to identify issues that could get into your way and handle them. A man with the sense of troubleshooting may anticipate what may go wrong and keep them from growing by resolving them when they are of more manageable size or preventing them from sprouting in the first place. That is what troubleshooting is about.
Some setbacks can stall you as you work towards reaching a goal, ranging from small annoyances to major setbacks these problems must be resolved in other to get to where you need to go (your goal). This also, is what troubleshooting is about.
Since we now know what troubleshooting is about, let’s consider the story of a certain CEO in the bible whose goal was to solve an economic problem through agronomy. Well, I don’t know whether it was a current situation in his time or was a future problem he was working to resolve. This is one of the parables Jesus gave out in His days on earth.

Something About Parables
In my believe, the reason why Jesus used parables in many of his preaching and teaching sessions is because of the caliber of people He was addressing. He was dealing with people that were religious and not spiritual. These were physically grown up men and women in the church circles who can’t grasp mysteries. They are babies in the body Christ and deserve to be served with milk substances. Jesus knew exactly what He was doing, He cannot give meat to a child. The child can’t appreciate the taste of the flavor. He being economical minded and understands how the digestion system works will not waste meat on the dining plate of a child. So he had no choice but to speak in parables unto them. The parables were not to confuse the audience but to make plain of His massages to them. Parable then are massages that are unleashed in metaphors for easy understanding. Everting He said in parables related to their everyday life, so He believed they will understand with ease. Yet they couldn’t because they had the god of this world blinding the eyes of their understanding, that they may not see the express image of God in the parables. (2Cor 4:4) paraphrased.
It came to the point when His disciples asked Him why He speak in parables to the people because they were surprised He was dealing grown up men and women in baby stuff. Then He answered them and said, because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven but unto them it is not given to them to know mysteries, they cannot access mysteries. For they are babies on the inside and religious outside. That is why I’m addressing them with parables. Matt 13:10-11, paraphrased.
In Mark chapter 4, Jesus taught with many parables, one of the outstanding ones is the parable of the sower. Then in verse 10 when He was alone they that were about Him with the twelve asked Him of the parable. This made him so annoyed that He also asked in verse 13, know ye not this parable? In other words can’t you easily discern through baby milk? You are high above baby milk to be confused of it. You see parables can be easily understood even by babes because they are presented using everyday life elements for description. Now let’s take a case study of one of the parables Jesus presented as it relate to the subject at hand.

Case Study
Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Matt 13:24-30 (KJV)

From this scripture passage Jesus presented to His audience the story of a certain CEO who specialize in agronomy. This honorable man with his employees went to the field to sow wheat that he may be able to solve an economic problem in his society, city and country. It is a massive project that got idle men and women jobs and eventually be a sector for food supply. It could be a current situation in his time or a future issue that he wants to solve. So after a long day’s work of sowing wheat seeds on the field, this honorable man and his employees got in for a sleep. The plants started grow and the employees spotted tare among the wheat. The issue was reported to the man with a suggestion, shall we deal with the inevitable problem? The CEO said indeed we sowed good seeds but now that we have tares among the wheat, it shows clearly that an enemy has done this. Nevertheless no one should do anything, let it grow and reach harvest point. On the day of harvest let the reapers deal with the tares first, then the wheat should get into my ban.

Something For You
• Anytime the spirit of a system is opened, as the good stuff are sown so are the bad stuff.
• To harvest your goal always deal with the inevitable issue: even the employees of the CEO understood that, only that they miss the timing.
• Tares are poisonous and the type that can put you or your helpers to deep sleep or kill you both.

Interfering Factors To Goals
Now let’s then identify factors that are interference to goals. One thing each and every one of us must understand is that as we set our goal and start working hard towards it success, you still will be faced with inevitable. The purpose of inevitable is to stop or set you back as you progress. In our previous first lesson as we started with this whole series of thoughts and concepts of problem solving, you learnt about identifying a problem. The purpose was to engineer and skill you to identify problem. That skill is needed here. To well troubleshoot, you need to identify the problem in other to do that. Missing that point leads you into jeopardy and you don’t want that as I don’t. At this time you have a goal to deal with a problem and you are face with an interference. Kill the interference and you are through, fail to do so and you dead simply dead. Now to do so you need to identify the interference first and deal with it.
The inevitable interference you will be face with comes in two shapes and are foreseeable and unexpected interference.

Foreseeable interference are the type you see as you brainstorm. In essence if you haven’t missed the brainstorming step you will see this type of problem event before you reach this step. So now, you see the brainstorming step is very important. In our biblical case study, the employees of the honorable CEO came to report the tares among the wheat. He had understanding that anytime the spirit of a system is opened, whether it be a firm, field, human race, city, region, nation, continent or the world as a whole, as the good stuff are sown so are the bad stuff. Which is to say the man foresaw it before it happened. He told his employees with confidence and security, not only do I know there will be a tare case but also the individual bringing it in. It’s like Jesus knowing He will be betrayed, die and rise up on the third day and also knowing vividly who will betray Him with a kiss. This can only be done by the brainstorming Jesus, as He took upon Himself to solve the world’s biggest problem ever, sin. Sisters and brothers it is very important to be a brainstorm person.
Foreseeable are dealt with by hard work and sometimes investment as well. This man has to be applying weedicides, pesticides and other agro produce to keep them both growing till maturity and even pay for the segregation. This is an example of hard work and investment.

Let’s now then turn on unexpected. What could happen unexpected is someone dying on the field. If death is reported on the field, it will lead to the band of the farm products from the market circles. Which also could lead to bankruptcy, goal failure and a whole lot. Let me clarify your thought here with two examples. First the word of God (the bible) recorded a time that Jesus with His disciples walking through someone’s corn field. The disciples then plugged some of the corn on the farm, rub them in their hands and eat them. (Luk 6:1). The disciples were not angels, they were humans, flesh and blood, apart from Jesus been special. Assuming they were walking through this man’s field and mistakenly plugged the tares instead of wheat, they would have died unexpectedly. Also in the second example let’s consider the law God gave to the Jews which they practiced throughout their entire life even until today. The law states that after every harvest of farm produce, part must be left on the farm for the poor, needy and or passerby’s that have need for that particular farm produce to glean (Lev 19:9-10). It could also happen that this categorized individuals will glean the tares alongside the wheat without knowing the deference and die at the end. What Mr. CEO should do in my opinion is to place signage’s that communicates to employees, gleaners and even intruders alike that there is tares among the wheat. This will safeguard the above mentioned individuals, neighbours and save the man and his firm from evil report. Believe me this doesn’t take much effort and investment. For this reason, we say it is an example of unexpected interference and are easy to be dealt with.

Conclusion
Troubleshooting begins with identifying those problems that will or may get in the way of your achieving your
goals. You might know about them ahead of time, and even be able to prevent them, or keep minor problems
from becoming major. Or, you may encounter them as they arise without warning. Either way, knowing how to
find solutions and move forward will ensure that you reach your destination.

GOAL SETTING

It is of a necessity when you are solving a problem to make a plan. This solution plan or plans is shaped by the goals that we set. Note that the clearer you are about where you want to be and steps you need to take in order to get there, the more likely you attain your goal.

For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have [sufficient] to finish [it]?
Luke 14:28 (KJV)

Jesus the son of the living God made this principle very clear here. He said it is wisdom to calculate the cost involved when you are building. That includes a personal life, family, friendships/relationships, careers, establishments of projects and the like. Then in the course He made mention of Tower, which means never build anything of lows build high structures, for heights is the idea of God and the thing of God.

But how do we get to know the cost involved in what the height we want to build? Planning! If we have a plan, walk on that plan we will definitely know what we have to put in and do exactly that. A plan then is an unfolding phases of a goal. It breaks down a sum total goal into various achieving phases. A plan will showcase to you how to go about a total goal. We don’t start a Tower building from roof level but from ground level. Now that we know what a plan is lets deal with what a Goal is.

Simply put, anything (problem) you want to solve or accomplish in the future, is a goal. It runs across personal, educational, career. Because of this we need to set goals. Someone asked, why set a goal? Well, if you have defined and understood clearly problems and how to brainstorm possible, then you need to get this element in addition to solve them effectively.

THE QUALITIES OF A VALUABLE GOAL

Now the prophet by the name Habakkuk is having difficult times of God laying burdens and showing him the disasters occurring over and r upon the kingdom Judah, because of the evil acts of his people. He took the case to God and prayed. For so many time God did not answered his prayer, it seems He is silence on the case. The prophet then desiring to hear from God decided to stand upon his watch and be set upon the Tower to hear what God will say to resolve the problem. This time God showed up and told him the qualities of a valuable goal that would resolve the problem.

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make [it] plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Hab 2:2-3

• Must be in writing (… write the vision)

This is really clear and understanding. The vision here is our goal and the goal you want to achieve should be in writing as simple as that.

• Specific and detailed (… make it plain upon tables)

This have got two meanings for us. First the substance upon which we write the goal must neither be paper which is bound to destruction under evil rain or exposure to demonic waters or wood which also fades off under the test of fire but on table of stone which can stay longer because the goal itself is going to tarry. The second meaning is quite interesting. If you are a reader or a student of any sort, you will witness with me that after you flip two of more leaves of any good book the next thing you see is a giant print that says “Table of Contents”. The table of contents showcases to you all major headlines or Topics in that very book. This major headlines tells you how to read the book, where to start from, from one topic to another, a systematic range of order. Before you read chapter five, make sure chapter one to four is dealt with. Some writers group these headlines into sections. So that one section contains two or more headlines. To me the reason why a writer will not jump over this step is if he/she fails to give you the table of contents he/she has deprived the right to the understanding of that particular book, unless the book is very small and need not that. I once told a class of five young men I use to teach the word of God that if you cannot master the table of content of a book don’t try reading it, it is a waste of time. We read not to know words but rather to get the understanding of the concepts with which a book carries. So friend, the idea of this fraction of scripture is in two ways, first write the goal on a secure substance for posterity and second let it be in order, just like the table of content of a book.

• Runnable or installable (that he may run readeth)

In the computing field to run a program or software is to install it on your device. Also in the construction fields to install is to fix a particular component into or on an exact specific location or area. I have come to believe that if the goal is written with specifics and details, anywhere, any time in the world someone can run it to solve a problem, even when the goal writer is not around or does not exist anymore.

• Measurable (… the vision/goal… an appointed time… the end… shall speak… not lie)

Have you noted the sequence? Now this is it. The vision/goal should be appointed to time, having an end date and must be able to speak to the present generation and even to the third generation and not lie to them. This is what this quality means.

• Realistic (though it tarry, wait ... will surely come … will not tarry)

This portion says the goal may tarry but we must wait because surely it shall come to pass and not waste off. Waiting then requires patience and hope. And that is what makes it real, for you don’t hope and patient for what isn’t real. Also the goal should not be too high nor too low, must it be something achievable. Another thing is the will factor, your will. That portion of scripture presented two wills, one witnessing to the other. When you will it, you achieve it.

• Deadline Oriented

For example, there are twenty-four hours in a day, seven days in a week. Sixteen hours of each day I work for my boss and keep the remaining eight to myself. Basically, because I love writing and posting on this page, I have to read, research and write, that takes about three hours away. The five hours left is what I use to enjoy my sleep. Though it is tough to me and a challenge for the people around me. But I am trying to make sure within every week I post at least once on this page. The seven days should not pass without a post and that is my deadline.

The Challenge

The common challenge with goal setters is that they set their goals too large. You should know that it is always difficult to accomplish something that covers much grounds that may take a long time because you may grow tired with it before completing it. Anytime a goal is set we must consider the number of steps as well as the timeline. The size and time period should be reasonable and catch yourself in a picture following that plan to its end. Should you discern any choke anywhere sit back, break it down into little and more manageable step's.
