🔥 DAY 2 | 21 DAYS COVENANT OF FASTING & PRAYER 🙏🏽

Today is Day 2, and we encourage everyone to remain steadfast as we seek the face of the Lord and trust Him for divine direction, strength and breakthrough.

Let us make time to pray, study the Word and draw closer to God throughout the day.

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things...” – Jeremiah 33:3

IMPACT WORD DEVOTIONAL FOR THE WEEK

SET APART UNTO HIM

1 Peter 2:9-10
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;" Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

This passage affirms how precious we are in God's sight. Sometimes when we look at ourselves with all our weaknesses, we wonder if we will amount to anything. In as much as we fall short on many occasions, God still sees us as His special people on the face of the earth. We are precious in His sight. He has chosen us to show forth His power and might on the earth.

Because we are special to God, He has given us characteristics and a way of life that the world cannot understand. That is what makes us peculiar. The other word to describe how the world sees us is "odd". The world sees us as some crazy species that emerged from where no one knows, believing in a God we do not see, alluding characteristics to that God that cannot be measured in a lab, etc.

In God's eyes, however, we are precious, we are His representatives. We are set apart unto God. You do not have to be ashamed that the world looks at you as an odd person. Being in Christ is much more worthy than being the richest and most famous person out there in the world. Setting apart unto Him in holiness and consecration is necessary knowing that our bodies are the temples of the Holy Ghost.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to see my value as a citizen of Your kingdom so I can live on earth with my head up and with no fear in declaring that I belong to You

IMPACT WORD DEVOTIONAl FOR THE WEEK

PRAY FOR OPEN EYES

Isaiah 6:1-7

In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke." Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

In today's passage we encounter the Prophet Isaiah's own experience. When king Uzziah died the prophet's eyes were opened. He saw the glory of the Lord. See how he described it. Now reflect on the effect that it had on him. Listen to him say, "Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips..."

The sure thing that happens to a man who truly sees God is that he sees his wretchedness, and sees God's greatness. Whatever God makes you see about Himself He wants to do in your life.

You cannot be acclaimed as a "prayer warrior" and look less and less like Christ. You cannot come to God's presence and look upon Him and remain the same. Seeing God's face surely must transform you. If that does not happen something must be wrong.

Heavenly Father, I need You to open my spiritual eyes so I can see you better than I have so far in my life in Jesus name 🙏

IMPACT WORD DEVOTIONAL FOR THE WEEK

GOD IS THE ONE WHO EXALTS

1 Peter 5:5-7
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:' Casting all your care upon him; for He cares for you.

Our world is turning into a rat race. People are running faster than their strength carry them. The world has set standards about who is great and who is not; and everyone is being hurled into a frenzied competition. Unfortunately, the church has become entangled in this mess. It seems we are forgetting that we are expected to complement each other by that which every joint supplieth.

Everyone is hurrying to the top to get attention and receive recognition. People are trying all kinds of means - get a lot of money, say things no one has said before so they become the first person who said it. Church leaders are craving for more demonstration of power over the spiritual world, etc. Even the things God has promised to freely give us have become a means to project ourselves above everyone else.

All these do not change the truth that it is only God who promotes; and His promotion is not what we often see. We are under God's command to be humble before Him and let Him exalt and honour us. Very often we are unable to see the thin line between confidence and pride and we cross that line more often than not. Seek meekness and God will take care of you.

Prayer
Father, I claim long life, health and honour as I walk in humility and the fear of the Lord. Amen 🙏
