Most people donโ€™t understand the work of a pastor.

They think itโ€™s about preaching, visibility, or title.
But Scripture presents something deeper and more serious.

Yesterday was impactful at The Wealthy Place as we addressed what Scripture actually says about pastors.

Hereโ€™s a summary of What Is the Work of a Pastor (Part 1):

A pastor is not defined by position.
A pastor is defined by responsibility.

The Bible makes it clear:
A pastor is entrusted with SOULS (Acts 20:28).

That means he must be:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Blameless โ€” his life must reflect integrity
๐Ÿ‘‰ Sober-minded โ€” able to make sound decisions
๐Ÿ‘‰ Disciplined โ€” starting from his own home
๐Ÿ‘‰ Apt to teach โ€” able to communicate truth clearly
๐Ÿ‘‰ Vigilant โ€” watching over the flock

A pastor is not just a speaker.
He is a shepherd, a leader, and a steward before God.

Scripture commands something many overlook:
Honour those who watch over your soul (Hebrews 13:17).

This isnโ€™t cultural. Itโ€™s spiritual.
The work of a pastor is not light.
It demands character, discipline, and accountability.
