(HIGHER GROUND)

👉I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

By faith on Canaan’s tableland;
A higher plane than I have found,

👉My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;

(THERE IS A LAND OF PURE DELIGHT)

👉There is a land of pure delight,
where saints immortal reign;
infinite day excludes the night,
and pleasures banish pain.

👉There everlasting spring abides,
and never-withering flowers;
death, like a narrow sea, divides
that heavenly land from ours.

👉Sweet fields beyond the swelling flood
stand dressed in living green;
so to the Jews old Canaan stood,
while Jordan rolled between.

👉But timorous mortals start and shrink
to cross the narrow sea,
and linger shivering on the brink,
and fear to launch away.

(WHEN WE ALL, GET TO HEAVEN)

👉Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,
Sing His mercy and His grace;
In the mansions bright and blessed
He’ll prepare for us a place.

what a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
we’ll sing and shout the victory!

👉While we walk the pilgrim pathway

Trusting, serving ev’ry day;
Just one glimpse of Him in glory

👉When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
