Teaching Series: WALKING IN DOMINION OVER SICKNESS AND DISEASE
Introduction:
Welcome to this miracle banquet today, it shall be a dawning of a new day for everyone of us – Isa. 25:6-8/ Psa. 30:5
Isa 25:6-8
6 And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. 7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. 8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.
Ps 30:5
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
But What is a Miracle?
A miracle is the finger of God at work in the affairs of men –Exo.8:16-19 / Luk. 11:20
Ex 8:16-19
16 And the Lord said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt. 17 And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt. 18 And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast. 19 Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
Luke 11:20
20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
Miracles are no accidents; they are the deliberate acts of God in response to the desperate faith of men – Mak. 2:1-12 / Mak. 10:46-52
Mark 2:1-12 [ABRIDGED]
3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. 4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
VS:11-12
11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. 12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
Mark 10:46-52
46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. 50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. 52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
Miracles are no accidents; they are the acts of God provoked by the faith of men in confirmation of His Word – Mak. 16:17-20
Mark 16:17-20
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 .They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Miracles are no accidents; they are supernatural manifestations in response to the bold declaration of the saints – Psa. 81:19-14/ Act. 14:3
Ps 81:9-14
9 There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god. 10 I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. 11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. 12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels. 13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! 14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
Acts 14:3
3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
A miracle is not an happenstance, not about what will happen will happen, but what we deliberately enforce by faith – Mat. 15:26-28/ Luk. 8:45-48
Matt 15:26-28
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. 27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
Luke 8:45-48
45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. 47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him and how she was healed immediately. 48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
We don’t wish a miracle; we work out a miracle – 1Cor.12: 10/ Phil. 2:12
1 Cor 12:10
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
Phil 2:12
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Healing and deliverance miracles are most pronounced in the ministry of Christ for example out of the 24 chapters of the book of Luke, 13 captured his healing and deliverance miracles – Act. 10:38/ 3Jhn. 2
Acts 10:38
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
3 John 2
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
We must recognize that the end time church is ordained to walk in dominion in all spheres of life, including dominion over sickness and disease before Christ returns – Jer. 30:17/ Isa. 33:24
Jer 30:17
17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
Isa 33:24
24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
But the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but spiritual – 2 Cor. 10:3-6/ Eph. 6:12
2 Cor 10:3-6
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Eph 6:12
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Among others, the communion empowers believers to live a sickness free life after the order of Christ – Jhn. 6:57
John 6:57
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
But how does Holy Communion empower believers for Dominion over Sickness and Disease
The Holy Communion is a Kingdom toast for strength, health and longevity – 1Cor. 11:30
1 Cor 11:23/30
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
The Holy Communion empowers us to live like Christ spirit, soul and body – Jhn. 6:53-54/ Lev. 17:11/ Jhn 6:57
John 6:53-54
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Lev 17:11
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
John 6:57
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
The Holy Communion is made up of both the Bread, that is, the Flesh and the Drink, that is, the Blood – Mat. 26:28-29/ Jhn. 6:48-58
Matt 26:28-29
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
John 6:48-58
48 I am that bread of life. 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
What is in the Flesh (The Bread)?
The bread can be likened to the Rod of God that swallows up all the rods of the magicians in our body – Isa. 11:1/ Exo. 7:11
Isa 11:1
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
Ex 7:11-12
11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. 12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
The flesh represents the ‘miracle meal’ that neutralizes all forms poisons in our body, so as to set us free from their negative impacts – 2 Kgs. 4:39-41
2 Kings 4:39-41
39 And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not. 40 So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof. 41 But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.
The Bread is the New Testament manna that destroys all forms of weakness and feebleness – Psa. 105:37/ Deut. 8:3/ Jhn. 6:58
Ps 105:37
37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
Deut 8:3
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
John 6:58
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
Eye opening miracle is embedded in the bread – Luk. 24:30-31/ Psa. 119:18/ Gen. 13:14
Luke 24:30-31
30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
Ps 119:18
18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
Gen 13:14
14 And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:

11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Phil 2:9-11
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
We share the same blood group with Christ through the mystery of the Holy Communion that empowers us over sicknesses and diseases – Mat. 26:27-28/ Jhn. 6:57
Matt 26:27-28
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
John 6:55
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
The blood in the communion can be likened to ‘the white blood corpuscles’ in the human body that defends our body against all assaults of sickness and disease – 1 Cor. 11:26/*30/Jhn 6:53-54
1 Cor 11:26
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
Jesus is Lord!
