Isaiah 55=8. *My thoughts,* says the LORD, *are not like yours, and my ways are different from yours.

9. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so high are my ways and thoughts above yours.

10. *My word is like the snow and the rain that come down from the sky to water the earth. They make the crops grow and provide seed for planting and food to eat.

11. So also will be the word that I speak--- it will not fail to do what I plan for it; it will do everything I send it to do.

12. *You will leave Babylon with joy; you will be led out of the city in peace. The mountains and hills will burst into singing, and the trees will shout for joy.

13. Cypress trees will grow where now there are briers; myrtle trees will come up in place of thorns. This will be a sign that will last forever, a reminder of what I, the LORD, have done.*

21. *Fields, don't be afraid, but be joyful and glad because of all the LORD has done for you.

22. Animals, don't be afraid. The pastures are green; the trees bear their fruit, and there are plenty of figs and grapes.

23. *Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice at what the LORD your God has done for you. He has given you the right amount of autumn rain; he has poured down the winter rain for you and the spring rain as before.

24. The threshing places will be full of grain; the pits beside the presses will overflow with wine and olive oil.

25. I will give you back what you lost in the years when swarms of locusts ate your crops. It was I who sent this army against you.

26. Now you will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied. You will praise the LORD your God, who has done wonderful things for you. My people will never be despised again.

27. Then, Israel, you will know that I am among you and that I, the LORD, am your God and there is no other. My people will never be despised again.

Ezekiel-18=21*If someone evil stops sinning and keeps my laws, if he does what is right and good, he will not die; he will certainly live.

22. All his sins will be forgiven, and he will live, because he did what is right.

23. Do you think I enjoy seeing evil people die?* asks the Sovereign LORD. *No, I would rather see them repent and live.

24. *But if a righteous person stops doing good and starts doing all the evil, disgusting things that evil people do, will he go on living? No! None of the good he did will be remembered. He will die because of his unfaithfulness and his sins.

25. *But you say, 'What the Lord does isn't right.' Listen to me, you Israelites. Do you think my way of doing things isn't right? It is your way that isn't right.

26. When a righteous person stops doing good and starts doing evil and then dies, he dies because of the evil he has done.

27. When someone evil stops sinning and does what is right and good, he saves his life.

28. He realizes what he is doing and stops sinning, so he will certainly not die, but go on living.

29. And you Israelites say, 'What the Lord does isn't right.' You think my way isn't right, do you? It is your way that isn't right.

30. *Now I, the Sovereign LORD, am telling you Israelites that I will judge each of you by what you have done. Turn away from all the evil you are doing, and don't let your sin destroy you.

31. Give up all the evil you have been doing, and get yourselves new minds and hearts. Why do you Israelites want to die?

32. I do not want anyone to die,* says the Sovereign LORD. *Turn away from your sins .

16. *I create the blacksmith, who builds a fire and forges weapons. I also create the soldier, who uses the weapons to kill.
