Last Sunday's service was a powerful and refreshing time in God’s presence as we shared in Holy Communion together.

We were reminded of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, whose body was broken and whose blood was shed for our redemption. It was a sacred moment of reflection, thanksgiving, and renewal as we partook in the covenant of grace.

THE BLOOD OF JESUS - REV. WILLIAM BEMPONG

Beloved, the blood of Jesus is not ordinary blood. It is powerful, effective, and unchanging because it carries life. It was not spilt by accident; it was poured out. It was Jesus’ own life given for us. This pure blood from heaven is full of divine and curative power, and that is why it still works today.

The Bible teaches that it is only the blood of Jesus that can cleanse a man from sin. When we genuinely confess our sins and walk in the light, the blood of Jesus washes away guilt, shame, and every form of unrighteousness. The blood of bulls and goats could never do this, no matter how sincere the sacrifices were, but the blood of Jesus brings true and lasting cleansing.

This same blood stands behind every promise of God. When Jesus spoke of the new covenant in His blood, He showed us that every promise in Scripture is guaranteed by His life. Because the price has been paid with precious blood, none of God’s promises can fail.

On the cross, Jesus bore both our sins and our sicknesses. By His stripes we are healed. Where His back was wounded, and His blood was poured out, healing and restoration were released for us.

Because of the blood of Jesus, we now have access to God. We who were once far off have been brought near. We can stand before God holy and blameless, entering His presence with confidence, not by our efforts, but by the blood.

The blood of Jesus also empowers us to do God’s will. It is not human strength that qualifies us, but the blood that cleanses and prepares us for every good work, allowing God to work in and through us.

Through faith in the blood of Jesus and the testimony of what He did on Calvary, we overcome Satan. The blood also brings safety and protection, just as the blood of the Passover lamb protected the Israelites in Egypt. Jesus is our Passover Lamb, and where His blood is applied, destruction passes over.

Through His blood, Jesus reconciles man to God and man to man, bringing peace where there was enmity. His blood also speaks for us. It speaks better things than the blood of Abel, crying for mercy, forgiveness, healing, and strength.

Beloved, there is no way you can remain bound or sick when you appropriate the divine life in the blood of Jesus by faith. If you are not saved, confess your need for His blood today. If you are saved, thank God for every drop of the blood of our Saviour. The blood of Jesus still works.
