MASTER, WHAT SHALL WE DO?
(Pray)


“And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
‭‭II Kings‬ ‭6‬:‭15‬-‭17‬

Elisha did not pray for GOD to change the situation. Rather, his only request was that his servant’s eyes would be opened to see the truth. That is, the spiritual reality that was already present but hidden from sight.

Elisha didn’t try to argue, explain, or convince the servant of what he himself already knew, “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” He understood that no amount of human reasoning could reveal what only GOD could uncover.

So, he prayed and GOD answered.

When someone is blind to spiritual reality, no explanation, no logic, and no persuasion will suffice. Only GOD can open spiritual eyes. While He may use people, the act of opening one’s heart is GOD’s work alone.

When the servant’s eyes were finally opened, everything changed. He now saw the mountains full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding and protecting them. What once looked like a hopeless defeat now stood revealed as a moment of divine assurance.

Sometimes, we don’t need GOD to change the situation. We need Him to open our eyes to the reality of His presence in it. Often, what we perceive as overwhelming is only so because we’re seeing it through the lens of fear, lack, or helplessness. However, when we pray for our spiritual eyes to be opened, we begin to see that GOD has already made provision. His armies are already encamped around us and His grace is already sufficient.


Heavenly Father, thank You for being the GOD who sees, knows, and surrounds us even when we feel outnumbered. Like Elisha, we don’t ask for the situation to change, but that we may see. Open our spiritual eyes, Lord. Lift the veil of fear and doubt, in JESUS’ name.

THE TEST OF OBEDIENCE
(Before Your Elevation)


‘Later God tested Abraham and called to him, “Abraham!” “Yes, here I am!” he answered.
God said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains that I will show you.”’
Genesis 22:1-2

Hallelujah! It is my prayer that you find strength and perseverance through every situation you find yourself in this week. Today we consider ‘The Test of Obedience”, which every believer will experience in their walk of faith with God.

Before your elevation God takes you through tests. God continuously tested righteous men in the Bible before bringing them to their elevation.
God called Abraham (Abram) when he was 75 years old with a promise, and fulfilled the promise when he turned 100. 25 years of what seemed like a delay was a test of waiting). Your long wait to see God's promises manifest in your life could be a test you are enduring.

In my walk with God, I have come to the realization that without going through tests, God will never bring you to the place of acceptance, recognition and fulfilment. I have faced many tests in my walk, including public scorning for standing with God's word and speaking to address the ills of the day.

As a Christian, you must be ready and prepared to pass through several tests. These tests may come in the form of difficult seasons to prove your faith, test your obedience, and to build your character.

One of the tests God will always take us through is the test to obey His voice: the test of Obedience. What Word has come to you, and how have you adjusted or responded to these Words of God. We shall delve further into the tests that you must pay attention to and how to overcome them for a victorious life.

Let's Pray:
Almighty Father, we thank You for Your Word, that comes to strengthen our faith and build us up. Continue to strengthen us in everything we do for your glory, in Jesus' name. Amen

THE EXPECTATIONS OF THE RIGHTEOUS
(The expectations of men)



“And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭10‬:‭47‬-‭48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

After Bartimaeus had caught the revelation of who Jesus Christ the son of David was, he begun to let out a cry for mercy. Interestingly, the people surrounding him seemed agitated at his cry and they rebuked him for trying to catch the attention of Jesus Christ. This did not despair Bartimaeus and rather, he shouted the more. Surprisingly, it was the same people who brought Bartimaeus to Jesus when Jesus called for him.

People will always have an opinion about your expectations. They may think you don't deserve that miracle, they may think that you are too "loud", or because they don't understand your situation, they may think you are asking for too much from God. But you must know that the more people get uncomfortable about your worship, the closer you are to your breakthrough.

I pray for you, that any voice adverse to your expectations shall be silenced now and forevermore in Jesus' name.
