The 3RD DISTRICT BATTALION COMMANDERY AND THE 3RD DISTRICT LADIES AUXILIARY met at St. Mary Catholic Church to celebrate the Solemnity of the Birth of Our Patron Saint, St. John the Baptist.
The Mass was led by Monsignor James Margaret Mesu, Rector of St. Mary Rectorate, Nsuta, and concelebrated with the District Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Lt. Anthony Nii Noi Dowuona.

In his homily, Monsignor shed light on the life and death of John the Baptist, and charged members to imitate his good examples by being faithful to God and the Church .
Members were also challenged to seek martyrdom by standing by the truth no matter the threats associated with the outcome of being truthful, just as John did.
Members were also encouraged to learn more about the Catholic faith and lead people to know the truth about the faith and live the joy of being a true Christian and a Catholic.
Over Hundred members from the three Commanderies and Auxiliaries in the District were present for the celebration, together with the cadets and junior auxiliary.

We are grateful to God for the life of the greatest Prophet, John the Baptist. May his intercession profit us unto salvation.
Amen.
