*When Survival Becomes a School of Faith*

> Lamentations 3:31–33 says, “For the Lord will not cast off for ever: But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.”

Here are three lessons hardship taught:

1. *Lack does not cancel your destiny*

Genesis 50:20 says, “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good…”

Your present condition does not determine your final destination. Joseph had a dream from God while his circumstances moved from the pit to slavery and then to prison. Yet none of those seasons could cancel what God had ordained for him. Never measure your future by what you possess today.

2. *Faith is refined in hidden seasons*

1 Peter 1:7 says, “That the trial of your faith… might be found unto praise and honour and glory…”

Faith develops when you continue trusting God without comfort, recognition, or visible evidence that circumstances are changing. The battles you overcome privately can produce the strength you will need when God brings you into greater responsibility.

3. *Discipline in scarcity prepares you for abundance*

Luke 16:10 says, “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much…”

Scarcity can teach you stewardship, gratitude, resourcefulness, and discipline. Learn to manage little faithfully. If God increases what is in your hands, the habits you developed when you had little can help you manage abundance wisely. Child of God, do not despise the days when you are managing little. Your difficult season does not mean God has abandoned you. Keep trusting Him, remain diligent, and learn everything the season can teach you. Survival seasons are not wasted seasons. In God’s hands, they can become classrooms of faith and character.

*Prayer*
Heavenly Father, thank You for sustaining me through difficult seasons. Give me strength to remain faithful when resources are few and hope feels stretched. Help me to recognise Your hand even in scarcity, and use every season to strengthen my faith, discipline, and character. Prepare me for the future You have ordained. In Jesus Christ’ name, Amen.

Daily Vision:
*Stand Firm in the Storm*

Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

Here are three awareness about standing firm in the storms of life:

1. *Remember that God is with you in the storm.*

Isaiah 43:2 says, “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee…”

God does not promise that you will never encounter storms, but He promises that you will never face them alone. His presence becomes your refuge, strength, and confidence when everything around you appears uncertain.

2. *Stand firm when everything around you is shaking.*

1 Corinthians 15:58 says, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…”

Crisis is not the time to abandon your convictions. Remain steady in faith, prayer, and obedience. Your stability can also become a source of courage to those who are looking to you for strength.

3. *Trust God to turn adversity into strength.*

Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God…”

What appears to be a setback can be a setup or an opportunity for greater unity, resilience, and progress. God is able to take what threatened to weaken you and use it to make you stronger.

Child of God, storms will come in different forms. They may be spiritual, emotional, financial, relational, or physical. When they come, do not allow fear to scatter you. Stand firm, encourage those around you, and keep trusting God. What looks like destruction today may become the foundation of tomorrow’s testimony.

*Prayer:*

Heavenly Father, when the storms of life arise, help me to stand firm in faith. Strengthen my heart, guide my steps, and surround me with people who will build and not scatter. Turn every trial into a testimony and every shaking into greater stability. In Jesus Christ’ s name, Amen.

7 Things That Hinder Spiritual Growth (Take Note of No. 2 & 6)

God desires every believer to grow into the likeness of Christ. However, certain attitudes and habits can slow or even hinder that growth. Recognizing them is the first step toward overcoming them.

1. Neglecting God's Word

A believer who rarely feeds on Scripture will struggle to grow spiritually.

«“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” — Matthew 4:4»

2. Unconfessed Sin

Sin that is hidden and unrepented creates distance in our fellowship with God.

Take Note of No. 2: What you refuse to surrender to God will eventually weaken your spiritual life.

«“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” — Psalm 66:18»

3. Inconsistent Prayer

A weak prayer life often leads to a weak spiritual life.

«“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation...” — Matthew 26:41»

4. Love for the World

When worldly desires take first place, devotion to Christ begins to fade.

«“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world...” — 1 John 2:15»

5. Pride

Pride prevents us from depending on God and receiving His grace.

«“God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” — James 4:6»

6. Ignoring the Holy Spirit's Conviction

Repeatedly resisting God's conviction hardens the heart over time.

Take Note of No. 6: A sensitive heart responds quickly when the Holy Spirit speaks.

«“Grieve not the holy Spirit of God...” — Ephesians 4:30»

7. Spiritual Laziness

Growth requires intentional effort. A passive faith rarely becomes a mature faith.

«“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue...” — 2 Peter 1:5»

Final Truth

Spiritual growth does not happen by accident. As you remove the things that hinder your walk with God and pursue Him wholeheartedly, He will continue transforming you into the image of Christ.

Prayer

Father, reveal anything in my life that is hindering my spiritual growth. Give me the humility to repent, the discipline to seek You daily, and the grace to follow the Holy Spirit's leading. Help me grow into the person You have called me to be. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

*Live Till the Master’s Return*

> Matthew 28:19 says, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

Our desire as believers should go beyond personal comfort, material success, or recognition. We are living with an eternal assignment. Jesus left His Church with the responsibility of reaching the lost, making disciples, and establishing His Kingdom wherever people are found.

Our desire should be to see souls saved, churches planted, and lives transformed as we await the soon-coming of the Master. Every person who receives Christ, every community reached with the gospel, and every church established becomes part of preparing the world for His return.

The time we have is limited, and the harvest is great. We must therefore live with urgency, using our gifts, resources, influence, and opportunities to advance the gospel while we still can. Here are three things we must pursue as we await the Master’s return:

1. *Make soul-winning a priority.*

Proverbs 11:30 says, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”

People are God’s greatest priority. Never become so occupied with your personal ambitions that you forget those who do not know Christ. Pray for the lost, share the gospel, and deliberately lead people to Jesus.

2. *Establish places where disciples can grow.*

Acts 14:21–23 says, “And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many… they ordained them elders in every church.”

The apostles did not merely preach and move on. They established churches where believers could be taught, strengthened, and discipled. Evangelism must produce lasting structures that nurture converts and advance God’s Kingdom.

3. *Live with eternity in view.*

2 Peter 3:11–12 says, “What manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God.”

The return of Christ should affect the way you live today. Serve faithfully, remain holy, fulfil your assignment, and make every day count for eternity.

My dear, don’t spend your entire life pursuing things that will end with this world. Give yourself to what matters eternally. Win souls, help establish strong churches, disciple people, and allow God to use you to transform lives. When the Master returns, may He find you faithfully occupied with His business.

*Prayer:*

Heavenly Father, give me a burning passion for the lost and an unwavering commitment to Your Kingdom. Use me to lead souls to Christ, strengthen Your Church, and transform lives through the gospel. Help me to live faithfully and purposefully as I await the return of Jesus. In Jesus Christ’ name, Amen.

*Lead Them to Know God for Themselves*

> Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Raising children in a Christian home is a great privilege, but being surrounded by church activities does not automatically make a child a Christian. Every child must come to a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ. Salvation cannot be inherited from parents; it must be personally received.

One of the greatest responsibilities of every Christian parent is not merely to expose children to Christianity, but to help them personally encounter Christ.

Here are three truths every parent must embrace:

1. *Salvation is personal.*

John 3:7 says, “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”

Children do not become Christians simply because their parents are believers. Each child must personally repent, believe in Christ, and receive Him as Lord and Saviour.

2. *Teaching God’s Word is a parent’s first ministry.*

*Deuteronomy 6:6–7 says, “And these words… thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children…”*

Do not leave the spiritual training of your children entirely to the church. Teach them Scripture at home, pray with them, answer their questions, and continually point them toward God.

3. *Your example must reinforce your teaching.*

2 Timothy 1:5 speaks of “the unfeigned faith” that first dwelt in Timothy’s grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice.

Children learn not only from what parents say but also from what they consistently see. Let your conduct, prayer life, integrity, and love for God demonstrate the faith you want them to embrace.

Child of God, never assume that your children know God simply because they attend church with you. Lead them deliberately to Christ. Teach them His Word, pray for them, model godliness before them, and trust God to bring each one into a genuine and lasting relationship with Him.

*Prayer:*

Heavenly Father, help me to lead my children to know You personally. Give me wisdom to teach them Your Word, grace to model Christ before them, and patience to nurture their spiritual growth. Let my home be a place where salvation, conviction, and love for You flourish. In Jesus Christ’ name, Amen.
